The chauffeurs at Elite Limos zoom promptly to homesteads, airports, or other pickup points in an immaculate fleet of stretch limos and luxury sedans that garnered enough votes to be named one of CityVoter's Best Limousine services in 2010. Professionally dressed drivers shuttle wedding parties or coworkers between destinations at any hour in roadsters such as a white stretch Lincoln Navigator decked out with a bar, two flat-screen TVs, and a CD and DVD player. They also man the wheel for tours of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge or for special occasions, including carefully ferrying mom and her newborn home from the hospital after an exhausting few days of trying to learn each other's names. The team's concierge service accommodates all requests, from a light snack to armed security, for an added touch of opulence.

Birds and Clays, Inc. equips 12 forested stations with automatic traps that shoot sporting-clay targets high in the air, where they attempt to evade hunters’ bullets with swift, aerial maneuvers. Sporting clay professionals acquaint visiting duos with their weapons and equipment before waving them on to solve vendettas against clay in a manner that doesn’t terrorize local pottery shops. Trappers man the stations and load six to eight disks at each as guests take aim, hoping to shatter as many proxy pigeons as possible before heading through the woods to the next station. A limited number of golf carts swiftly shuttle patrons between stations when available, and cartless dischargers can trek the woodsy paths via foot or off-roading skateboards.
The Nantahala River rushes through Class II rapids and higher, but it also runs through the stories of the countless people who've dared its churning waters and tumbling falls. One such story centers on Steven and Sue, who met at a Hendersonville summer camp and soon fell in love with each other and the Smoky Mountain air. Eight years later, the Matzes sold off the trappings of corporate-Atlanta life and founded Adventurous Fast Rivers Rafting with their two children, four dogs, and more than a dozen wilderness-loving employees.
These instructors?certified in First Aid and CPR?ready groups for each guided or unguided exploration by teaching proper raft and boat control, as well as describing techniques for crew coordination. A hand-painted map points out routes through the Nantahala Gorge that avoid interview-hungry nature documentarians. Adventurers have just as many rafting options as routes, including Aire and Hyside self-bailing inflatable rafts, funyaks, sit-on-top Torrent kayaks, and traditional bucket rafts. After either disembarking at the riverside outpost?recognizable by the tree growing through its center?or preparing for a final plunge down the Nantahala Wesser Falls, river-farers dry off and examine photos taken during the plunge down the Falls. The outdoor picnic area's park-style charcoal grills make it easy to throw a post-river barbecue.
