There's not a white T-shirt in sight at Mud Blast's finish line, though you might see a pink tutu. Messy terrain dominates the forests, fields, and river lands that line the race's five kilometers and the path to victory winds through tunnels, tires, hay-bale climbs, and other obstacles. Pits might lurk around any turn, threatening to cover runners in liquified dirt from head to toe to that marsupial pouch they didn't know they had. Mud blankets everyone who crosses the finish line: adults, teens, and even kids, who race through their own Mini Mud Blast course. Post-race celebrations add to the messy fun with awards for top finishers and best costumes.
The Mud Run's blend of competition and celebration occurs along the banks of both the Sacramento and San Joaquin Rivers. These locations aren't arbitrary; proceeds from each run go towards the conservation of these river lands, thanks to the efforts of the Mud Blast's parent company, River Partners. The organization owns Willow Bend and is actively working to restore its more than 160 acres to riparian habitat as well as Dos Rios Ranch and its 1,600 acres of woodlands, flood plains, and working agricultural fields.
Each Body By Laser clinic pairs cold-laser technology with holistic health practices to help patients lose inches and keep them off. The treatment gets its magic from cold lipolasers, which are designed to gently shrink fat cells by dislodging their contents so that they can be fully discarded through the body's natural metabolic process and series of tiny secondhand stores. Each one-hour treatment series wraps up with a consultation on diet and exercise, along with a quick session atop a whole-body-vibration platform engineered to burn even more calories.
Like art-house films and fish-flavored popsicles, these procedures are not intended for everyone; females who are pregnant or nursing should not undertake the treatment, nor should patients with active forms of cancer. Should any complications be discovered during Body By Laser's initial screening, the company will issue a refund.
The folks at Children's Choice Pediatric Dental Care do their darnedest to make sure kids actually look forward to going to the dentist. In a waiting area adorned with brightly colored murals, kids can play video games, watch movies, or entertain younger siblings by staging a healthcare debate in the toddler play area. Each treatment chair is equipped with a video screen to keep youngsters entertained and relaxed during meticulous cleanings and exams. Dr. Jeffrey Saladin and his team of caring professionals place an emphasis on gaining patients’ trust and teaching them the importance of prevention and proper home care, ensuring the health of their teeth and gums for years to come.
Following the CrossFit ethos, Rocklin CrossFit designs high-intensity workouts that build strong, resilient bodies. Depending on their fitness level, participants may begin the muscle-manufacturing process with exercises that use only their body weight, such as squats, pushups, and tonguestands. As tone and technique improve, trainers tack on tonnage with the sonorous bells, dumb, and kettle bars, as well as plyometric boxes and medicine balls. Cardio blasters such as rowing, running, and rope jumping are also indigenous to workouts.
