Experienced gymnasts twirl and flip at one end of Gymcats Gymnastics’ floor as they train for advanced events. At the other end, toddlers learn introductory rolls and coordination. That’s the studio’s philosophy at a glance: real gymnastics taught in classes designed to suit all students. Kids aged 3–4 learn the basics of tumbling while increasing attention spans, learning social skills, and practicing human pyramids to reach cookie jars. More-seasoned athletes can receive instruction on the vault, bars, balance beam, and floor. After they graduate, students can apply their skills toward other sports or practice to become a part of Gymcats’ competitive teams. The gym also caters to grownups by hosting parents’ nights out on select Fridays and overseeing birthday parties.
Countless athletes of all ages have trained at Dulins Sport Complex since former professional baseball player Tim Dulin opened its doors in 1994. The more than 40,000-square-feet facility features two turf fields?one measuring 170?x80? and the other 100?x80'. On both surfaces, you'll find players honing their techniques during camps and leagues for sports including soccer, lacrosse, and even cricket. And in the complex's eight batting cages, baseball and softball players practice swinging and trashing talking the pitching machines.
With more than 30 years of kid-entertaining experience, The Little Gym provides a safe and fun locale where kids can stay active in a nurturing and non-competitive environment. Visiting youngsters glean skills and confidence from professionally developed programs while participating in hands-on activities that help enhance emotional, intellectual, and social skills. A bevy of gymnastic, dance, and sports-skill activities will keep the indefatigable energy motors of little tikes revving, while also boosting listening skills, attention spans, and confidence.
