Boasting 55 years of educational experience and a 100% passing rate for all graduates in 2010 and 2011, Gary Knepler Driving School specializes in making independent motoring accessible to both first-time students and drivers with special needs. During the eight-hour classroom course, students will be taught the ins, outs, and U-turns of safe driving, such as when it is appropriate to pass on the right or through the picture windows of a mall. This course helps new drivers meet some of the state requirements for obtaining a driver's license, including the required two-hour parent component. Grouponers can receive a $100 discount off the full 30-hour classroom/8-hour driving training program (a $699 value).

As the first full-time comedy showcase in Connecticut, Treehouse Comedy Productions has curated stunning selections of world-class standups for more than three decades. The heavy hitters in the Treehouse family tree include Rosie O'Donnell, Jon Stewart, Bill Mahar, Chris Rock, Gilbert Gottfried, and Jerry Seinfeld, who once bid farewell to standup at Treehouse gig just before his TV show, That's So Jerry!, became a hit. With roving locations at area restaurants, casinos, and bars, the arbiters of spit-takes continue to cull the sharpest cut-ups in the country for weekly showcases.
Throughout the year, the rink at Danbury Arena stirs with such events as lessons, hockey leagues, and weekly public skating sessions. Instructors also lead lessons starting with children as young as age three, including an adult program that caters to varying skill sets with five different levels of challenges, from two-foot glides and stops to forward crossovers. Every Friday night, the arena transforms into a disco party, complete with live DJ music and special lighting, and an oversized rhinestone jacket for the Zamboni.
