A sultry saxophone fills the hall of the refurbished movie palace, playing rich Christmas-themed melodies amid a backdrop of painted landscapes and gilded relief carvings. Directed by Tom Molter, Spokane Jazz Orchestra’s 17-piece big band features woodwinds, trumpets, trombones, rhythmic guitar, and drums in a combination that resounds with fire. Vocalist Jennifer Madson, the voice of CBS’s Cold Case, will croon alongside the bright blare of trumpets during the show.

Casual, contemporary home furnishings and decor. We like to think the store looks like someone picked it up in New York and dropped it off in downtown Spokane. Unique, modern, contemporary furniture - classic designs and softer designs.

For 50 years, SNAP has led efforts to reduce poverty and homelessness in the Spokane area. In 1966, Father Frank Bach established three community centers to help local families in need. Over time, the organization grew and began to broaden its focus beyond alleviating basic needs to include in-depth forms of assistance as well. Today, SNAP's staff members work with people experiencing homelessness to find housing and take steps toward achieving self-sufficiency. SNAP's services include money management workshops, small business development, weatherization work, energy-efficiency loans and food grants— as well as family-development and life-skills classes to teach families how to achieve stability in their rental situations.
