Safety-minded instructors guide dancers of all abilities through ballet, jazz, and hip-hop classes amid two dance rooms. A toy-filled playroom keeps siblings entertained as their brothers and sisters participate in tumbling, cheer, gymnastics, and trampoline classes in the main gym. The playroom's two viewing windows also let parents keep an eye on all their kids at once, eliminating the need for stuffed animal informants.
Kipsters' year-round classes and spacious facility aren't just for kids; parents can hook into the center's free WiFi or enjoy an adult beginning ballet and hip-hop classes for students 15 years and older. As the ultimate gift to caretakers, Kipsters presents weekly Parents' Survival Nights, which free up four hours of uninterrupted date time on Friday nights.
Junkyard Athletics whisks exercisers to healthier lifestyles with a flexible schedule of challenging interval-training regimens and ever-changing workouts. Leading contingents through a series of indoor and outdoor exertion, muscle-forging instructors consistently baffle bodies with new routines that utilize available surroundings, such as grassy fields for sprints or jungle canopies for fresh-fruit retrieval. Lasso nomadic strength fibers with taxing sessions of tire dragging, jump squats, and weight training, or prepare for upcoming locomotive-pulling events with resistance-band sprints. Classes are designed to cater to all levels of fitness, and typically last about an hour.
The corporal coaches at CrossFit from the Ashes lead individual or small-group sessions composed of heart-pumping cardio and strength-training routines. Designed around the 10 cornerstones of physical health, CrossFit training enhances the heart’s ability to tick and strengthens various muscle groups for improved flexibility, agility, and bear-wrestling skills. Weightlifting gracefully converges with nimble gymnastic movements and fast-paced cardio throughout each session, with instructors guiding clients through circuits of drills, such as back extensions followed by rowing or push-ups and sit-ups complemented by sprints. Athletes complete each session within the confines of CrossFit’s spacious warehouse gym that was initially zoned for painting to-scale models of Manhattan. Currently sessions are scheduled on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays during the afternoon and evening.
