Reflecting on this childhood, Chris Keating sometimes feels as if he didn't exist. His parents' divorce left him with very little tangible evidence of his formative years, so he's spent his adult life as a photographer making sure children can look back fondly at warm family memories. Chris Keating and his Calgary staff have made this a reality for more than 3,000 families since opening the doors to Towne Photography in 2006. There, the professional photographic crew shoots posed and candid shots of families, children, couples, and babies at picturesque parks or against their studio backdrops, and they also snap triumphant graduate portraits, intimate prenatal shots, and provocative passport pics that make border crossing a breeze. Their ironclad guarantee allows unsatisfied clients to request reshoots, reprints, or resizing on all photographs, and they vow to remake or recapture any artwork that sustains damage over the years. Chris also takes his photographic knowledge on the road to conduct Betterphoto Workshops across the United States and Canada, teaching novice photographers how to artistically preserve their most precious memories.
Stiehl Photography's husband and wife team of expert shutter snappers freeze marital, familial, or senior subjects in an array of pictures and prints during customized shoots. After selecting their preferred location within London, clients strut or smile for captivated lenses during one-hour sessions that adroitly capture a family's loving dynamics, a newborn's wide-eyed wonder, or a levitating cousin's trick wires. Each image undergoes enhancement before assemblage into an online viewing gallery, where patrons can easily share, download, or purchase photographs. Two 5"x7" and an 8"x12" print, all three of which can be of different poses, afford patrons ideal gifts to dispense to significant others, close friends, or a goldfish dissatisfied with its bowl wallpaper.
Joseph David captures countenances utilizing an artistic portraiture style honed during 10 years of experience photographing for national ad campaigns, newspapers, and magazines. Up to five muses can model in the studio, and on-location shoots can be accommodated for an additional fee. The photographer creates a fun and exciting studio atmosphere for his subjects, who can bring their own colourful props, music, or bottle of wine to set the mood and fill in for missing relatives. Decorate dwellings with an 11”x14” print, which undergoes basic retouching to remove blemishes, scratches, and reduction of darkness around the eyes. Low-resolution replicas of all the session's clicks gather themselves on a collectable DVD and are perfect for emailing correctly proportioned portraits to family without causing concern over couch-size teeth.
Family photo phenom Julie Duggan captures mantle-worthy moments in her welcoming studio. After combing back cowlicks and polishing postures, eager subjects can strut to the studio with family, friends, or formerly estranged chess partners. During a photo session up to 30-minutes long, Duggan will expertly identify and flatter subjects' good sides, feeding them a steady stream of nutrient-rich flashes and f-stops. Satiated subjects will then receive a password to view the 20–30 images online, as well as a print-ready disc of every pose, allowing them to pinpoint which of their cohorts is a vampire. Check out Duggan's gallery for evidence of her precious moment-capturing prowess.
Winner of the The London Free Press Best Photography Studio award for 2012, Spectrum Studios' seasoned photographer Reinhold Scherer draws from close to 30 years of experience to capture intimate portraits within his indoor and outdoor studios. Inside, clients flash pearly whites before a choice of backdrops. Professional mounted lights illuminate spinach in teeth as camera shutters open to freeze fleeting moments in candid, traditional, or photo-journalistic styles. In drier weather, subjects can also choose to venture outdoors to the property’s landscaped settings, where Scherer snaps shots set against ivy-covered archways, towering trees, and rustic structures. Proficient in portraiture, [wedding photography] (http://www.spectrumstudios.net/wedding.htm), and advanced digital restoration services, he can meet the photographic needs of most every client.
