The Cherry Blossom Festival is currently celebrating 48 years of hosting one of the Japanese cultures most magnificent traditions. With more than 200,000 attendees last year, the festival showcased a wide range of interesting programs and events. Just a few of the events included Chanoyu, which has shaped the Japanese culture through an elegant tea ceremony. Another popular event, the Miyabikai, holds workshops in Japanese doll making and educates the public in many of the ancient techniques involved in doll making. The Cherry Blossom Festival includes many exciting events such as the Kayo parade, a music program, and the Queen program which is dedicated to training young women to become stronger individuals. The festival welcomes sponsors and appreciates past sponsors who have so generously helped. For a list of the upcoming festival shows, programs and events, please visit the website.
