Carlisle Sports Emporium is a 20-acre complex, which houses a new 7,000-square-foot laser-tag arena, multiple go-kart tracks, large arcade area, and two 18-hole miniature-golf courses. Flanking these three attractions is a roller rink where skaters can experience walking on wheels without having to stick their legs through two different cars’ sunroofs. Visitors can also stretch their sinews on the computerized indoor climbing wall—which can simulate classic climbs such as El Capitan or Devil’s Tower—or hone their hand-eye coordination in an arcade with more than 100 games.
With an expansive cornstalk maze and a 600-foot zipline, Fields of Adventure enlivens fall outings at a family-owned, working farm. Guests can explore the African safari-themed maze, which carves up 7 full acres to honor famous explorer Dr. Livingstone's enthusiasm for maize-based logic puzzles. Shaped to resemble an overhead view of a lion and two elephants, the labyrinth features several unique sections, each of which challenges patrons with an educational game pertaining to the safari and its hidden, overarching meaning. After dark, maze-goers can flip on their flashlights and challenge the winding paths without the sun's kind direction or helpful cheat codes. After exploring, visitors grab hold of the farm's zipline and descend 70 feet from a tower to soar over the farm's pond.
