How is your approach different than that of other professionals in your field?
We value customer service and provide an excellent, well-trained staff.
When and how did you first develop a passion for your work?
This passion was developed after moving back to the State of Georgia and realizing there was a true demand for quality driving instruction in our local community. I utilized my skills as a helicopter pilot to adopt safe driving behaviors and pass those along to our young adults.
The certified instructors at Changing Lanes DUI School help steer drivers who have operated a vehicle under the influence onto the path of safe, responsible driving with their 20-hour DUI class and risk reduction program. The course's two-part curriculum includes an assessment and intervention exercises that participants must finish to earn a certificate of completion. Additionally, drivers can also participate in the school's nationally recognized defensive driving course to relearn safe driving practices and resolve issues surrounding speeding tickets, points on their license, and high insurance costs.
Sycamore Learning Company's founder and owner Patrick Minnihan estimates that he's helped more than 10,000 students with the SATs and ACTs over his decade as a tutor. Today, he leads a team of diverse instructors made up of professionals ranging from educators and ex-guidance counselors to former attorneys and leech trainers made obsolete by modern medicine. No matter what fields they come from, all of the company’s test prep pros have a deep understanding of the exams' unique requirements, helping students decode the mysteries of the Scantron during engaging tutoring sessions.
A septuplet of subjects form the core of Seven Arts Center's curricula: the visual arts, literature, theater, multimedia, health, martial arts, and cooking. Through their daily classroom programs and radio station, Seven Arts Radio, the center?s teachers help adults and children across Atlanta develop into the kind of renaissance people rarely seen since Pablo Picasso made his action-movie debut. Painting classes can take the form of structured multisession courses for aspiring artists, or casual one-time events for those simply looking for a new hobby. Other classes give students tips on using computers, playing music, or passing the GED.
Students at Fast Track High Performance Driving School don't need to prove that they can parallel park—they're more concerned about taking a turn at more than 100 miles per hour. Most of them have never even felt the rumble of a 600-horsepower engine before. After plenty of safety debriefing from expert instructors, however, they usually are no longer intimidated by its purr. They'll then hop into the vibrant shell of an ARCA-style stock car, a former racing vehicle that's still capable of rocketing down the track at a blur-inducing speed of 165 miles per hour.
Since 1989, the school has been fulfilling speed-demon fantasies with its courses and ride alongs at racetracks throughout the country. The staff meets with everyday fans and aspiring competitors alike to cover racing protocol, safety, and appropriate postrace dance moves. Depending on the depth of their lesson, pupils might take the wheel during a four-car passing exercise or simply sit back in the passenger seat as a professional flies through three–five laps.
