Rising Stars Performing Arts Company founder and artistic director Laura A. Rizzo knows firsthand the benefits of a fine-arts education. Wielding a master’s degree in educational theater and dance from New York University as well as experience on and off Broadway, she has helmed more than 130 children’s shows in which she's helped youngsters develop social skills, increase their community awareness, and spice up dinner conversation with iambic pentameter. Rizzo and her staff of instructors from diverse performance backgrounds lead students toward their artistic goals, whether they dream of dancing competitively or joining the cast of a Broadway musical.
Helmed by professional choreographer and ballet and jazz dance instructor Scarlett Antonia, Antonia Arts helps kids and adults alike hone their skills in a wide variety of performing arts. Led by Broadway vets and passionate teachers, kids can learn the graceful movements of ballet or participate in a spring production of The Wizard of Oz, while students of all ages learn to write shows or work with the Meisner technique of acting.
At Premier Athletic Club, a large team of instructors lead classes ranging from intense barbell-focused BodyPump to soothing restorative yoga. Barre workouts use easy-to-learn ballet techniques to help tone bodies, and boxing boot camps teach striking fundamentals while building strength and agility. Club members get access to indoor and outdoor pools as well as class discounts.
