At White Horse Equestrian, riders earn their spurs during lessons, classes, and outings run by the ranch’s corral of coaches. Students learn horsemanship and riding techniques according to their existing skillset, whether acquiring advanced communication skills or fundamentals, such as where in the saddle to store a pony's sunglasses on cloudy days. Casual visitors can board rented steeds for trail rides, attend themed summer camps, or use the idyllic grounds to host a birthday party featuring games, crafts, and instructional trots.
At Family Martial Arts, we are not interested in just teaching martial arts, we are concerned about the complete personal development of each student. Individual attention is an aspect of each and every lesson, allowing all students to progress quickly and confidently toward achieving their personal goals.
Since 1985, the Kent State University Museum has served as a time-traveling portal for fashion and design, allowing style-stalkers to admire some of the world’s most exquisite dresses, costumes, paintings, and furniture dating back to the 18th century. The museum came into being when two New York dress manufacturers, Jerry Silverman and Shannon Rodgers, donated 4,000 costumes and accessories, nearly 1,000 pieces of decorative art, and a 5,000-volume reference library. A year later the museum was fortified with 10,000 pieces of American glass, from Akron antique collectors Jabe Tarter and Paul Miller, which had been carefully guarded from errant baseball throws and juggle-hungry clowns. Today the eight galleries feature a revolving door of exhibits from world-famous artists and designers, highlighting the cultural and artistic significance of fashion.

Climbers stand at the base of the textured plywood and rock surfaces that climb the walls of Kendall Cliffs' 7,000-foot space and picture themselves reaching the summit—a 35-foot high arch that reaches across to the opposite wall. Designed by Nicros, the facility presents varying gravitational challenges for scalers to mount, from tackling the bouldering cave to tickling the bouldering cave's petroglyphs. Intrepid and experienced instructors lead climbing classes, calibrated for varying skill levels and covering topics such as knot tying, belaying, bouldering, and sport routes.
