She calls on that calm demeanor, along with more than 200 hours of training, to guide students through restorative yoga classes. Sue specializes in lymphatic classes that help circulate fluids in the body and strengthen the immune system. The staff there is also experience with guided relaxation massage and yin yoga, which uses longer poses to increase mobility in the joints or make hiding in the National Mannequin Museum all day easier.

Certified instructor Gina Galiano, a lifelong fitness enthusiast, found herself floundering as workouts became boring and tedious. A manifestation of the antidote she discovered, today Gina leads what she calls "eclectic" boot-camp sessions that change from week to week. By keeping the workouts fresh, she hopes to prevent participants from becoming bored and dangerously pretending their dumbbells are hand puppets. Based in cardio and strength training, Gina's 45- to 60-minute workouts eschew fitness-machine doldrums for weight work and exercises that elevate heart rates.
Featured in TC Palm, Treasure Coast Sailing Adventures’ schooner, Lily, is one of the few of its kind left sailing. Since 1999, Captain Fred Newhart has overseen care of the vessel, which hauled lumber between Martha’s Vineyard and Maine in the '70s and '80s, joined by First Mate Jamie Miscoski in 2010. Today, the barge takes up to 35 passengers on scenic tours and private charters that cruise down the Saint Lucie River. Each passenger can choose to help with tasks on deck, such as raising the sails, or simply sit back and sip from a glass of wine.
When Christina Theiss, owner of Swim with Gills, was asked by a reporter from WFLX to describe the feeling of teaching a child to swim, she responded: “It’s a magical moment. I feel like I’ve saved a life.” Since she started a traveling swim school, her feeling of accomplishment has become infectious, spreading to her fleet of swim instructors and to her husband, the second half of the Swim with Gills team. Rather than forcing their pupils to swim, they focus on building a trusting relationship with each child. This method increases students' comfort level, allowing them to gradually submerge themselves in water and achieve the complexities of mermaid sign language.
