White rail fences and thick wooded borders surround the farm at Equine Kingdom Riding Academy, where owner Sally Amanda Cochran and her certified instructors lead students through classes in English and Western riding. Cochran began riding at the age of 10 and uses her experience as a competitive rider to shape a different lesson plan for her students each week. She aims to keep the lessons entertaining, engaging, and educational, and also teaches students how to properly tack and groom horses. Equine Kingdom Riding Academy hosts a large outdoor riding arena, trails, a round pen, and a large pasture, allowing students to ride in all terrain.
Triad Lanes offers bowlers of all levels recreational and competitive atmospheres. Beyond the well-oiled boards and gutters, it features onsite amenities, as well as youth bowling, indoor bumper cars, and birthday parties. In addition to open hours, the alley hosts special events, such as the Lightning Strikes Light Show, each Friday and Saturday at 9 p.m.
According to Pump It Up, air is essential for a successful rowdy romp. During three fun-filled open-bounce sessions, children leap around gargantuan air-filled bounce houses, skip down air-filled slides, and slither like legless snakes through an air-filled obstacle course, losing themselves in a world of multi-colored inflatamania. Pump It Up’s indoor air arena is climate-controlled and cleanly maintained according to rigorous guidelines set by a team of well-trained staff members. Parents play for free, so childless adults who want to play will need to borrow their neighbor’s kid or win one by collecting enough cereal-box tops. Open bounce times run during the day on Mondays and Fridays (10:30 a.m.–noon), and in the evening on Fridays and Sundays (5:30 p.m.–7 p.m.). Check the schedule and get ready to deck the walls with jolly bounces.
