Rock & Rita's, touted as "all fun" by Las Vegas Magazine, houses a bevy of cooks who sizzle up barbecue grub as bottle-twirling bartenders serve cool drinks amid psychedelic décor. The restaurant's philly cheesesteak "is a beauty," according to Las Vegas Magazine, sending taste buds into nostalgic revelry with a down-home blend of Cheez Whiz and paper-thin beef. Icy draft beers, well drinks, and 44-ounce fishbowl beverages fill the full bar, fashioned from a large prismatic bus, and bartenders toss bottles, juggle glasses, and balance barstools while pouring drinks and reciting the list of past mayoral candidates from memory. Rock & Rita's showcases karaoke on Thursdays and live-music entertainment on various nights throughout the week.

As Dion Katsoris learned how to craft gyros and souvlaki from his Grecian-born parents on the north side of Chicago, Michael Mortensen mastered Mamma Calasse’s homemade meatball on Taylor Street, the main drag of Little Italy in Bridgeport. Though the Chicago natives relocated to Las Vegas as strangers, they bonded faster than crayons left in the sun over a shared love of the Windy City, particularly its sports teams. The duo remains divided on which baseball team reigns supreme—the White Sox or the Cubs—but, to local eaters’ delight, they agree on treating Sin City to a menu of their childhood eats at Taste A Chi-Town Eatery. They pay homage to their Midwestern hometown with deep-dish pizzas and hearty Vienna beef hot dogs on pretzel buns; a page of pitas and souvlaki plates is dedicated solely to Dion’s Greek roots and the Mount Olympus officials that frequent the eatery for business lunches.

Aces & Ales blends pub-style comfort food and a rotating selection of 22 artisanal beers on tap with musical entertainment, fusing the passions of owner Keri Kelli, craft beer enthusiast and former guitarist for rock legend Alice Cooper. Plucking out distinctive pours more precisely than a neophyte harpist learning "Stairway to Heaven," the staff lines up select imperial stouts and hefeweizens to escort gastropub-inspired bites such as Belgian-style fries with bacon and blue cheese or homemade Maryland crab cakes. The bar's 14 plasma TVs, meanwhile, catch diners' eyes with 55 inches of pro-sports action. A classically trained robot moonlighting as a jukebox emanates waves of nostalgia and patron-selected tunes before local bands take the stage to test the stability of the exposed brick walls, which have previously resonated with the voice of Alice Cooper himself.

Drawing from an arsenal of traditional Louisiana recipes, the barbecue-savvy chefs of TC?s Rib Crib smoke, slather, and grill juicy cuts of meat and simmer their secret barbecue-sauce recipe alongside a wealth of comforting homestyle sides and corn bread. Called "the best barbecue" by a reviewer for the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the savory menu allows customers to sample their favorites with combos more personalized than brisket branded with their family crest. On Fridays, chefs stock grills with spicy cornmeal-coated catfish alongside the daily selection of pulled pork, ribs, and chicken, all of which can be washed down with a selection of sweet-tea drinks and homestyle desserts, such as banana pudding or peach cobbler.
