Sin City Comedy hearkens back to the swinging 1960s and, even further, to the seamier side of the mid-18th century with a blend of jokes and sultry moves. Chosen from a deep roster of nationally known performers and funny-looking cats whose credits include Comedy Central, The Late Show with David Letterman, and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, a different comedic talent headlines the stage each week with support from local and visiting stars on the rise. Between the acts, scantily clad ladies perform what the Las Vegas Review-Journal praised in 2009 as “witty, retro-sexy stripteases” with their own saucy sense of humor. The show recently moved to a plush new space inside Planet Hollywood, a theater whose neon signs and punkish metal spikes foreshadow the mixture of the glam and the hardboiled that audiences will find onstage.
Each Sunday, curling enthusiasts convene at Las Vegas Ice Center to send stones careening over its icy surface. The sport is relatively new in the city, having been brought to the area a scant 20 years ago to satisfy the pent-up urges of locals who found themselves teased by televised curling or the broom section at the local hardware store. Today, the club keeps the sport?s flame burning brightly through Learn to Curl classes as well as curling parties.

Though Sue Harragan and Tawnya Christian discovered barre workouts on opposite coasts, a mutual love of fitness and their desire to help others achieve their "best self" brought them together in Las Vegas. The business partners now helm Barre Las Vegas, a studio that strengthens hearts, cores, and limbs with ballet-inspired barre workouts. Upbeat music fuels each session, during which students line up at the barre and perform a routine of precise dance-training moves that blend yoga poses, Pilates exercises, and orthopedic stretching. While patrons burn calories during bouts of fat-burning interval training, they also increase their flexibility and tone their muscles, making their bodies as lithe and lively as a break-dancing slinky. In addition to leading barre classes, the motivating instructors push students toward their fitness goals with workout-enhancing tools such as TRX suspension-training straps.
