Run or Dye is making race running a little more colorful, one major city at a time. This 5K is divided up into four separate courses of varying lengths, each designated by a separate color––which also reflects the color of safe, eco-friendly powered dye the participants get splashed with. At the end of the race, they'll cross into the aptly-named Dye Zone—a polychromatic free-for-all, where fluorescent color is thrown freely from all sides, allowing runners to splash their fellow runners or get colorful revenge on their friends, family members, and any cranky art-history teachers that happen to be walking by.
Unlike some races that rank runners by time, Run or Dye only measures success in color and fun. While the safe-to-eat dyes should wash out of clothing, runners are encouraged to wear things they don't mind getting dirty, preferably in white, grey, or another neutral color to allow give the dyes maximum visibility.
Off Broadway Pub's owner, Rick Dahms, always knew his hot wings were something special. What he didn't realize, was that everyone else knew it as well. The Chiappetta burger brings the bounty of two meals, sandwiching bacon, grilled onions, and a half-pound of Angus beef between two regulation-size grilled-cheese sandwiches ($9.95).
No matter where you sit, there’s a good chance you’ll be in full view of the game at Harry's Sports Bar—that's because the Countryside pub encircles bar-goers with more than 10 plasma and LCD screens, three oversize projection screens, and 30 or so standard TVs. As the sound system roars with cheers and jeers during professional ice hockey games and MMA matchups, guests drink ice-cold drafts and top-shelf liquor and order thin-crust pizzas and sandwiches. On the off chance there’s no game to watch, Harry’s provides live entertainment of its own, thanks to three pool tables, beer pong, and trivia nights.

Today’s deal treats visitors to the show of their choice between now and the end of May, plus tickets to any future show attended after the first show. In addition to entertaining the troops in Iraq, Al Del Bene (October 14–15) has accompanied Dane Cook on his Isolated Incident tour. Political satirist Tim Slagle (October 21–22) will give funny bones a pre-election tickling, and Trial by Laughter champ Mike Baldwin (October 28–29) plans to fill bellies with laughs before guests pack them with Thanksgiving stuffing. Instead of rehearsing their own standup routines for crowds of fickle mannequins, club-goers can practice them on Riddles’ friendly bartenders as they sip beers, martinis, or Long Island iced teas.
Wings Firehouse fuses athletics and pub grub into a sports-themed haven replete with stacked sandwiches, crispy salads, and chicken wings smothered in 15 types of sauces. Traditional and boneless wings sport saucy overcoats such as sweet and spicy mango pecosita, tangy barbecue, or super-hot 911 sauce. Layers of grilled chicken, ham, bacon, and mozzarella and cheddar cheese test the girders of the quadruple-decker club, and the veggie sandwich keeps things simple with sumptuous vegetables and guacamole. Crisp curly fries accompany sandwiches, and the caesar salad derives its crunch from croutons layered with parmesan cheese. Thick frothy sips of beer send bubbly rapids through mouths, clearing space like an avaricious lumberjack in a rainforest.
