Johnny of Johnny Fox's Public House sought to re-create the comforting pub ambiance he experienced during his time in Ireland with his father. He has accomplished this by building an old-world cottage exterior and large water wheel and filling his pub's interior with Gaelic "craig agus ceol." Following the tradition of Irish pubs, he divided the rooms into quaint sections. Low wood tables and stools sit near a brick fireplace, while one ornate booth stands semienclosed near the back. An old pipe organ sits next to a long table occupied by wayward lawn gnomes, and plenty of natural light floods in from all directions. Bartenders fill pints with Guinness, Harp, and Smithwick's at a bar inscribed with Gaelic sayings. In the kitchen, chefs labor over classic dishes such as shepherd's pie prepared with fresh ground lamb and beef, Guinness-braised short ribs, and pan-seared sea bass. Brunch buffets are available on Sundays, and a good whiskey is easy to find at Johnny Fox's, including an 18-year Jameson, while a carefully selected list of white and red wines can be paired to match all dishes on the menu. The restaurant's 15,000 square foot space is also available for meetings, weddings, or meetings held during weddings.

A Peoria fixture since 2004, Arizona Broadway Theatre combines performances with fine dining, a marriage that helped garner the title of Best Playhouse from PHOENIX magazine in 2010. Curtains open to a cast of talented performers, who were culled from auditions in New York and the Valley of the Sun, and have belted out Broadway staples such as Grease, Fiddler on the Roof, and Singin' in the Rain. Servers glide through the tiered theater hall prior to performances, peppering white tablecloths with platefuls of American fare. Previous show's menus have included such dishes as steak diane's sliced tenderloin paired with saut?ed shallots and lyonnaise potatoes, which entertain patrons' stomachs without forcing them to eat the show's program.

Named for a Spanish legend about the romance between a sailor and a mermaid, Salty Senorita encourages guests to fall in love with their over 50 hand crafted margaritas instead. Waiters carry deep bowls of guacamole with handmade tortilla chips, plates of shrimp and mango quesadillas, and 11 kinds of tacos, which can be accompanied by 130 kinds of tequila and various mixed drinks. Waitresses' tank tops and short-shorts continue the beachside vibe created by shark frescos and blue-mosaic columns that sometimes fling seaweed at passersby.

Paying homage to Old World wine cellars, WineStyles Peoria pleases palates with a rotating selection of up to 150 wines from around the world, stored in arched cubbyholes along the wall. During tastings, wine whizzes fill glasses with various shades of nectar, which duos or quartets can smell, taste, and dab over razor burn. Afterwards, newly educated guests can purchase some of the store's various bottles of wine, including the bold Educated Guess cabernet sauvignon ($19.99), the sweet Frisk riesling ($11.99), and the bright and fruity Isabel Mondavi deep rose ($15.99). During a private tasting party, groups of up to 10 people flock around a table to guzzle down spirited glasses of grape juice. Experienced staff members dole out sips from five different bottles of wine, each containing information on its characteristics as well as tips for food pairing and baseball-bat corking.

Big HD screens, a menu of savory pub fare, and hospitable, scantily kilted servers, whom the restaurant calls cast members, populate the Tilted Kilt’s lively, Celtic-inspired consumption quarters. Return from a rousing billiards game to celebrate the sunken eight-ball with a creatively topped flatbread pizza ($7.99¬–$9.99) or cue up a pulled-pork sandwich with Guinness barbecue sauce ($8.99) and sink it into the stomach pocket. Tackle the classic Big Arse hamburger ($8.99), beer-battered fish 'n' chips ($10.99), or a pregame helping of crispy wings in three different sauces ($9.99/lb.), all delivered by mini-kilt-clad waitresses. While eating, drinking from a selection of 24 on-tap beers, and editing the rules of basketball to make it moon-friendly, sports fans can plant themselves throughout the spacious eatery to observe games in high definition on 19 big-screen TVs.
