Mandy Little, the expert shutterbug behind Moments in the Sun Photography, captures posed photos and candid shots of wedding parties, families, newborn babies, and pretty much any other type of photo subject. After these sessions, the photographer edits the photos, ensuring that each shot looks its best. She can also transform the photos into prints, burn them onto CDs, and upload them to an online viewing gallery.
An incomplete list of things that come in pairs: socks, Twix bars, earlobes, Jason Burton and Chris Knitter. Photographers Jason and Chris are the co-owners of Midspace Photography, and when clients book a shoot from Midspace, they get both of them. The duo prefers to take photographs together to add camera angles and creativity to shoots, as well as to safeguard against equipment failure. Both have several years of experience in snapping portraits of families as well as children, who can be tough to photograph because of their naturally red eyes. They also specialize in fast turnaround times—edited images and prints are usually available within 48 hours.

A ponytailed toddler grips her sunglasses determinedly as her parents crouch, smiling, in the background. In the midst of wedding preparations, a bride pauses to read a love letter from her soon-to-be spouse. These are a few of the fleeting moments placed in a beautiful image-jail by This Is Life Photography’s founder Marisa. Fascinated by the power of freezing time since she was a child, she composes portraits and wedding scenes with an eye toward creating mementos that can be handed down for generations.
