When the Phoenix New Times consulted Rambha Singh for an article on the techniques behind brow threading, they saw first-hand why her nickname is "magic hands." "I look at my client just like an artist," she told them, and with more than two decades worth of experience to back her up, it seems like an appropriate comparison. Wielding a thin, 100% cotton thread in a double-strand formation, she maneuvers across the brows, upper lip, or other area of the face with steady hands, removing each unwanted hair at the root.

Singh and her team tend to clients in search of threading, hairstyling, skin care, massages, and nail services in the four well-appointed suites that make up Rambha Day Spa & Salon. Like Singh, the stylists pack years of experience into their tool-chests, each boasting more than 10 years behind a stylists' chair. A couples' treatment room welcomes pairs for simultaneous spa outings, while vents above nail treatment areas make sure that the aroma of polish doesn't linger.
