Like most naturally athletic people, Meredith Feinberg was accustomed to being good at every sport. And yet when she took her first yoga class in 1992, she just couldn't seem to make her body do what she wanted, so she gave up after a few weeks. Then she suffered a debilitating injury that prevented her from participating in other sports. Determined to keep moving, she gave yoga another try, and kept at it until it became easier and easier. She loved it so much that she founded her own studio, Yoga Svana.
Here, she teaches Vinyasa-based classes that combine traditional exercise and yoga and pump up clients with energetic music spanning several decades and genres. Her homey, welcoming studio also offers more than 30 classes a week in Vinyasa flow, prenatal, Kundalini, and Dharma yoga. Yoga Svana even offers kids yoga classes, helping youngsters achieve the level of flexibility necessary to fold themselves up and hide in their lockers during boring school assemblies.

While navigating the ocean’s aquatic avenues on a pontoon boat from Doctor Jet Ski & Boat Rental, up to 10 passengers can indulge in some of the same amenities of a convertible sports car. Each vessel has a bimini top that slips down to let in sun rays, a sound system for pumping music, and space for dogs to stick out their heads to catch the breeze. However, the wraparound seating and spacious swim platforms remind passengers that they're at sea, and pop-up changing rooms allow them to transition into their bathing suits so they don’t have to wear laminated street clothes. Full- or half-day rentals provide enough time for pontoon boats to travel to any of the three sandbars near the marina for intimate, oceanic getaways.
For a more low-key ride, the company’s Yamaha WaveRunner rentals satisfy needs for speed for up to three riders at a time. Children can hold on to adult drivers as jet skis leapfrog waves and rocket through frothy spumes during bouts of splashy entertainment.
