Each participant in Zum Zum Dance Fitness classes has an unobstructed view of their instructor. They stand atop raised platforms, easily guiding students through Zumba moves set to catchy international beats. A wall of mirrors also help students perfect their moves as they work to burn calories and sculpt muscles. Classes run 60 minutes long and are offered six days a week.
The International Academy of Dance and Performing Arts—IADAPA—was founded by dancers Deva Houston and Lindsey Hashiguchi. The pair met when Lindsey began dance classes with Deva at age 6, and Deva later mentored Lindsey as she became a dance teacher. Together, the pair have traveled the country to work with dance and performing-arts students, and they now lead a staff of talented dancers at IADAPA. Focusing on technique, passion, energy, and excellence, classes cover jazz, tap, ballet, and hip-hop as well as contemporary dance. All ages are welcome.
Recently featured in Maxim, Las Vegas Mob Experience escorts history hounds through a 26,000-sq.-ft. journey through the rise and fall of early Vegas mafiosi and their lasting influence on the city. This highly interactive exhibit takes visitors close-up to hundreds of artifacts, including photographs, home movies, and furniture that once belonged to organized-crime figures such as Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel, a creator of the Flamingo Hotel, and Meyer Lansky. Actors dressed as apparitions of the gangsters themselves tell firsthand stories while guests slink through back alleys, secret lairs, and other vignettes, including the Ellis Island docks and immigration rooms, a speakeasy, police station, and more.
Julie Johnston founded Boot Camp Las Vegas in 2005, when—after unsuccessfully trying to lose 60 pounds through a battery of exercise techniques—she considered enlisting in the military solely for the physical challenge and camaraderie. Upon reconsideration, she decided to reclaim some turf from the lazy birds in nearby parks and stage her own workouts to build the physical and mental toughness she knew she was capable of developing. Today, a team of instructors—all certified personal trainers who have completed 64 days of boot-camp training—preaches Johnston's program to exercisers of all fitness levels. To help monitor and maximize workouts, they stage weigh-ins, take measurements, perform physical-fitness tests, and dish out a nutrition packet to shed light on healthy eating.

Madame Tussaud began crafting wax likenesses in 1770s Paris, and a sense of history clings to her wax museums around the globe today—according to the Travel Channel’s Ghost Adventurers, the location is haunted by unsettled spirits. By day, the collection of wax sculptures fills the serene exhibits with characters ranging from daredevil Evel Knievel (complete with his original Harley Davidson and good-luck teddy bear) to Lady Gaga and Whoopi Goldberg. A Hugh Hefner figure, wearing the Playboy magnate’s signature smoking jacket, reclines on a bed, and a nightclub-themed section of the museum honors Las Vegas’s entertainment history with a waxen Elvis and Wayne Newton.
Velvet ropes no longer cordon figures off from the public, granting guests up-close-and-personal photo ops. Madame Tussauds Las Vegas honors its spooky roots with special late-night Scream events, a shriek-inducing tour through a maximum-security prison set interspersed with ghoulish wax figures and live actors.
Mario Andretti Racing Experience offers motorized thrills to diehard gearheads by strapping them into a full-size, open-wheel Indy racecar and driving an up to 180-mph orbit around the 1.5-mile Las Vegas Motor Speedway. A professional racer takes the wheel in the Ride Along (up to a $129.99 value), as you motor around for three electrifying laps that leave your hands free for in-car knitting. The Practice Drive Experience suits up rabid road warriors in racing gear before an instructional meeting with the crew chief, then unleashes them for a five-minute drive around the track (up to a $329.99 value). The Practice Drive Experience lets aspiring A.J. Foyts motor around without a lead car or a passenger, while two-way radio communication ensures a respectful debate on foreign policy between the student and the instructor.
