Laughter is considered as important as exercise at Good Friends Group Fitness, where strong personal relationships fortify fitness regimens with motivation, accountability, and positivity. During each group workout, certified instructors cultivate camaraderie through shared fun and emotional support, unlike a high-school social clique or a pie fight to the death. Calories evaporate during high-intensity classes such as Les Mills BodyAttack interval training, which pairs sports-inspired cardio routines with strength and stability builders. Low-impact movements power multilevel Vinyasa yoga routines and BodyVive sessions that capitalize on hand weights, exercise balls, and step-by-step instructions. In addition to teaching classes, the staff helms fitness challenges and group training programs to help patrons tackle their fitness goals. To promote safety during workouts, teachers lead form-focused intro classes for new members and, for an additional charge, a clubhouse corrals kids where they can play in a kids-focused environment.
GroupFit Studio’s owner Sherman Rosier is an NSCA-certified personal trainer, NSTA-certified running coach, certified nutrition specialist, and holds a first-degree black belt in tae kwon do. But no matter how advanced the accreditation he receives, he does not lose sight of the most basic tenant of exercise: whatever workouts you choose, have fun doing them. He tailors his classes to meet this requirement: his GroupFit90 classes work the entire body with lively tandem exercises aided by Bosu balls and resistance bands, and his DanceTance workouts fuel dance-based workouts with energetic funk, Latin, and hip-hop music. Exercisers who need an extra shot of oomph can also meet for a nutritional-coaching session, which provides a clearer insight into workout-friendly munching than spying on Sylvester Stallone while he shops for groceries.
Designed by the late Dean Refram, a former PGA Tour pro and course architect who worked with Arnold Palmer, The Golf Club at Summerbrooke’s 18-hole, par 72 course bounds over a diverse landscape of rolling hills, dense groves of trees, and waterways and ravines. Measuring 6,845 yards from the farthest tees, the course begins with a relatively open, par 4 first hole, graciously letting duffers find their groove before hitting into tighter fairways and treacherous tree lines. An 80-foot-deep ravine surrounds the green of the par 3 15th, which marks the beginning of the three-hole Contemplation Corner, a climactic gauntlet that challenges clubbers with forced carries, bottomless ravines, and burbling water hazards. A relaxing finishing hole, the par 5 18th settles the nerves, letting golfers swing freely as their pin-hunting odyssey draws to a close.

Owner and founder Sherman Rosier conceptualized Fit & Functional as a one-stop shop to bolster the overall livelihood of his clients. The fitness studio's team tailors each health program to individual goals, such as weight loss or an austere resolve to dominate the company picnic’s potato-sack race. Personal-training sessions can incorporate cardio exercises, strength training, and stretching, and small-group tours highlight the nutritional pinnacles and pitfalls inside a local grocery store. Private or duet Pilates sessions and other group fitness sessions build health-centric friendships as they carve core muscles into sculptures of Charles Atlas.
Wildwood Resort's 18-hole, par 72 course rises and falls across 6,504 yards of rolling terrain characterized by clusters of ancient oak trees. The moderately challenging course eagerly awaits ill-struck balls, which burrow into the pillowy floor of strategically placed bunkers or practice splash-free swan dives at nearby watering holes. Water hazards come into play on three holes, including the 9th and 18th holes, where ponds stationed at the greens' edges add dramatic flair to climactic shots and 9-iron soliloquies. Before each round, players can trace towering drives into the stratosphere at the resort's onsite driving range or chip and putt their way toward pins at the short-game practice green.
