South Florida Photo's staff works well with others. During basic and advanced photography courses, they instruct aspiring photographers in the basics of shot composition and camera functions or delve into the best ways to use various tools, including cameras, editing software, and artfully placed thumbs. The instructors do double duty as professional photographers, and haul their gear on-location during photography services for weddings, family portraits, modeling portfolios, corporate events and headshots.
Founder and owner Cemhan Biricik has fashion and photography in his blood. His parents, both designers, moved him from Istanbul to Paris at the age of 4, eventually settling in the United States. Here in the U.S. is where he fell in love with photography, and photography loves him back, judging from the more than 15 awards Cemhan has won from National Geographic, Sony, and the International Loupe.
In his daily client work, Cemhan's photography strives to capture the beauty in every day life. His subjects range from the abstract and wildlife to high fashion and weddings, and he's snapped shots of celebrities such as Miss Pennsylvania and Cesar Conde of Univision.
Cemhan's company, Biricik Media, goes beyond photography to provide videography services that capture media for magazines, ad campaigns, and special events. In addition, the company has acquired talented, specialized photographers for specific needs such as bridal showers or portraits of your hair-doll collection.
Zachary Goldberg founded Forever Studios with the intention of helping others create, preserve, and share their most important moments. But it's not so much what Zachary and the Forever Studios team does–it's how they do it. In addition to high-quality photo shoots, the company can produce cinematic-quality montages set to music or build custom-designed hardcover photo books. And while the the team enjoys snapping new family portraits, they can also restore old ones using digital technology.
Perhaps Forever Studios' most unique service are its movie autobiographies. In those, subjects are filmed telling their own story, all while a cinematic montage of images–such as personal photos, video clips, or mug shots–fill in the gaps between the words. The studio will even research a family's history to tell a more meaningful and complete story.
Much like the lens of her camera, Laurie Brown can adjust her focus depending on the scope of the project. During family-portrait sessions, she channels the same passion as she does during a grandiose corporate gala. Her resumé speaks to this versatility, with clients ranging from AMD and PepsiCo to glamorous models. Laurie travels to indoor and outdoor locales to capture these snapshots. She has preserved wedding memories against a verdant forest backdrop and family gatherings on the beach. Laurie also works well with children—she has seven of her own—so she can help commemorate infants' birthdays.
