In creating a recipe for a romantic and pleasurable night out, few ingredients create the same synergy as wine, cheese, and jazz. The founders of Crumb&Cork put their spin on this formula by offering a menu with more than 28 artisanal cheeses and 40 wines from around the globe, which their patrons sip and sample amid an atmosphere permeated by live jazz music on Fridays and Saturdays. In an effort to encourage tastings, the owners sell their wines by the glass and decorate the space with comfortable furnishings so their clientele feel free to linger and chat.
Taking it’s cue from the hit television show The Amazing Race, the Gorilla Challenge pits teams of urban scavengers in a two-to-four hour race against time, scouring the city for illuminating clues that lead to valuable cash prizes. Partnering with the Accelerated Cure Project for Multiple Sclerosis, this heart-pounding, madcap puzzledrome fills the home of the Cowboys with amateur sleuths and merry pranksters madly dashing to win cash prizes of $500 for first place, $250 for second place, $100 for third place, and $50 for best costume. The challenge begins when your team receives a clue-filled card outlining 12 of the day's challenges; complete 10 correct challenges and race back to the start to claim your cash bounty or consolation water pick. As proof of challenge completions, teams take photographic evidence along this 3 to 5 mile radius of mystery, as the next challenge could include puzzle solving, musical numbers, making silly-faces, or recreating American Gothic. Special mini prizes line the path, with successful sleuths winning swag such as iPods and gift certificates to local restaurants and retailers. Following the brouhaha, every racer is invited to partake in swinging post-event entertainment, where exhilarated Sherlocks and sun-kissed Watsons bask in the completion of their good deeds and FDA–recommended daily puzzle race requirement with live music and food and drink specials.

Photography is ubiquitous in contemporary life and culture. The founders of the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts recognized this fact, so they sought to create a setting where visitors from all walks of life could appreciate and experience photography. As one of the few photography museums in the country, FMoPA presents exhibitions, which exclusively use this medium to explore themes that expose some intriguing or exciting aspect of history or modern, everyday life. This focus allows the museum to prominently feature pieces that other art institutions might not necessarily show, such as works of photojournalism or historic photographs.
In addition to scheduling upcoming exhibitions, FMoPA also includes a permanent collection. The collection aims to preserve particularly important images, such as those of various masters of the medium, including Harold Edgerton, Clyde Butcher, Hans Silvester, and Berenice Abbott.
After studying the museum's exhibitions—which can include images culled from national and international sources—guests can step behind the camera themselves during photography workshops for students of all skill levels. Then, budding photographers can display their latest shots at 15 Minutes of Fame, a showcase where up to six presenters exhibit and discuss their original work. They also host a photography group, the Photo League, for those photographers that want to share tips and helpful hints once a month.
For more than 20 years, the professional photographers at Charlie's Angels Photography have worked to capture images that not only preserve memories but also incorporate artistic touches. Their digital galleries boast shots from larger occasions such as weddings and runway shows to private events such as boudoir and portrait sessions. Their staff also includes professional makeup artists, who can prep subjects for shoots or gussy up complexions before weddings or high-school-graduation re-enactments.
