Tash Johnson & Co. specializes in creating fun for any crowd. The company organizes events that range in size from community storytime in elementary-school classrooms?founder Tash Johnson herself stops by to read?to summer festivals for hundreds of people, such as the annual Jazz in July event. It throws costumed Halloween balls and arranges a chance for everyone to get out of the office and head to a ranch for horseback-riding lessons, among other team-building activities. To the company's manager, though, the best part of any event is always the same: "[I like] seeing people happy, laughing, and having an amazing time. I also love when patrons come back to say that I exceeded their expectations and it was the best time they've had in a long time."
In creating a recipe for a romantic and pleasurable night out, few ingredients create the same synergy as wine, cheese, and jazz. The founders of Crumb&Cork put their spin on this formula by offering a menu with more than 28 artisanal cheeses and 40 wines from around the globe, which their patrons sip and sample amid an atmosphere permeated by live jazz music on Fridays and Saturdays. In an effort to encourage tastings, the owners sell their wines by the glass and decorate the space with comfortable furnishings so their clientele feel free to linger and chat.

Photography is ubiquitous in contemporary life and culture. The founders of the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts recognized this fact, so they sought to create a setting where visitors from all walks of life could appreciate and experience photography. As one of the few photography museums in the country, FMoPA presents exhibitions, which exclusively use this medium to explore themes that expose some intriguing or exciting aspect of history or modern, everyday life. Groups trek across Tampa on foot, listening to guides share historical facts about sites including the Tampa Theatre, Plant Hall, and the Riverwalk. Along the way, the guide-instructor will touch on such shot-snapping topics as depth of field and the Rules of Thirds, which states that the subject of a picture should be evenly chopped into three pieces for maximum effect. Students can try out their new knowledge as they walk; eye-catching architecture, public artwork, and verdant greenery becomes the subject and backdrop of memorable photos.
