GolfTEC has four convenient locations in the Tampa area, all staffed by experienced golfing professionals and computers who’ve sworn allegiance to the Three Laws of golfing robotics. Motion sensors and high-speed cameras monitor your swing and break down your form on a high-definition video display. GolfTEC’s PGA specialists point out your flaws, strengths, and coach you on how to permanently improve your game, from tee to green. Sensors chirp with approval when you’ve executed a perfect stroke or cracked an especially witty golfing joke.

Urban Bike Adventure pits teams of two or three against one another in a combination obstacle course, scavenger hunt, and road race. Teams carry a clue sheet to solve puzzles and riddles to locate checkpoints around the city while also engaging in festive challenges such as bike polo, bike jousting, and locating Carmen San Diego. Teams have three hours to try to conquer all the checkpoint challenges and zip back to the finish line in one piece. Like VHS tapes of The Price is Right, the checkpoints can be finished in any order. Afterward, all participants are invited to an after-party at which the top 10 teams will receive medals and everyone will be festooned with a T-shirt, swag bag, and entry to raffle prizes and post-race giveaways. Challengers should tote along their own bikes, bike helmets, and cameras or cell phones to take pictures as part of the challenges.

Famous Tate, open since 1954, stocks and displays more than 60 refrigerators, 60 washers and dryers, 85 major cooking products, 35 dishwashers, and 40 different sleep sets . But even with all of this merchandise, staffers recognize that the store might not have exactly what a client is looking for, which is why a team of merchandisers is on hand to special order items.
The shop also features a section of clearance appliances that have cosmetic defects such as scratches and unremovable “Mondale for President” stickers. Some of these appliances are even luxury display items that need to be sold to make room for incoming models, allowing customers to find the perfect bed, refrigerator, or oven that fits their budget. When clients find what they need, a service department helps them navigate extended-warranty purchases, financing, and delivery options.
As the medical director at Sculpt HD - Liposculpting Centers, Dr. Robert Miles relies on equal parts science and artistry when helping patients attain the look that they desire. He understands that every body requires a unique approach, and so he provides a number of surgical as well as noninvasive options for visitors looking to achieve a slimmer silhouette or more pronounced features. The center's noninvasive fat-reduction procedures can incorporate everything from lasers to ultrasounds as they target stubborn fatty deposits throughout the limbs or torso. Alternatively, the facility's body-contouring technology—such as VelaShape—can be used to improve body images without resorting to invasive procedures that might harm the surrounding tissues or hurt their feelings.
