UCP's nationally accredited Early Childhood Education program practices inclusionary education, in which children with developmental disabilities interact with and learn alongside their typically developing peers, developing new social and communicative skills from their engagement. Kids without disabilities who are in the program learn how to respect and interact positively with people who have disabilities. UCP hopes to encourage reading in all of these young children by exposing them to books that they can explore by turning pages and pointing to pictures. With this campaign, UCP hopes to stock its library with new books for its preschool program.
Pain comes in many forms, and its causes aren't always obvious. Injuries sustained in an auto accident can lead to persistent headaches, and dozing off while trapped inside a giant mason jar can result in chronic back pain. Whatever the cause of your discomfort, the therapists at Back & Neck Pain Relief Center will help you find a solution. Licensed chiropractic doctor Nathan A. Jones doesn't just treat ailments where they manifest themselves in the body. Instead, he searches for their source and nips them at the bud with techniques that are as safe as they are effective. Massage therapist Jessica Andaluz joins him in relieving clients' stress with Swedish and deep-tissue massage strokes.
While working as a personal trainer at his college’s recreation center, Doctor of Chiropractic Taylor Levick learned that the gym was used for more than weight loss and muscle gain. It also served as the stomping grounds for people to alleviate pain via corrective exercises. The void of pharmaceuticals to ease discomfort intrigued Dr. Levick, and in turn he followed a path in chiropractic care. At Tampa Sport & Spine, he helps patients regain their health by manually adjusting their spines, applying Kinesio tape to injured areas, and customizing corrective exercise plans.
Brothers in both life and business, chiropractic physicians Dr. Tan Burns-Tran and Dr. Thang Tran know that what feels like simple stress and strain can actually be a sign of a bigger underlying problem. That's why they've stocked their office with the most advanced diagnostic technology to help pinpoint the unique problems plaguing each body. Their Microfit analysis program provides a detailed breakdown of total body health––including a fitness profile, diet analysis, and cardiovascular assessment––which can then be used to recommend an appropriate course of treatment that may include anything from regular massage to a personalized nutrition program.
Beyond strengthening spines and treating common chiropractic maladies such as joint or neck pain, headaches, and injuries sustained from auto accidents, the office also offers yoga and Pilates classes for those looking to strengthen their core and increase range of motion. It also plays host to workshops on topics such as arthritis management or common diet pitfalls, as well as daily sing-alongs for those who frequently forget what the neck bone is connected to.
Drs. Tan Burns-Tran and Thang Tran opened Essential Integrative Medicine to alleviate patients? ailments with a combination of conventional medicine and alternative therapies. Since then, they have amassed a staff of medical practitioners, licensed massage therapists, and yoga and Pilates instructors. Some popular services include weight-loss plans, chiropractic adjustments, and physical therapy.
