League bowling is alive and well at Wade Hampton Lanes. There are morning and late-night leagues, church and practice leagues, leagues for men and seniors and youths, and even a league for homeschoolers and their families. This roster is a testament to the broad range of people who enjoy bowling at the center, where 32 synthetic lanes also attract casual bowlers, especially during events such as the creepy cosmic bowling that takes place on Halloween weekend. When these bowlers aren't picking up splits or pouring concrete in the gutters, they're playing video games in the arcade, browsing the pro shop, or noshing on wings and sipping draft Yuengling brews in the bar and grill.

Trainers Kimberly Carter, Rachel Lecture, and Sarah Boudreaux willed Bramblewood Stables into being through hard work, fortuitous circumstances, and the bonds of friendship. Bramblewood's cadre of skilled instructors tailor riding programs around classical dressage, balancing the relationship between horse and rider through empathy, understanding, and trust falls. ARIA-certified instructors Kimberly Carter and Rachel Lecture elucidate the art of hunt-seat riding, emphasizing flat work leading to jumping. As horse and rider explore well-lit dressage and jumping rings and more than 80 acres of scenic trails, trainers guide steeds and their owners through programs geared toward the breaking of younger horses, balancing older horses, and performing maintenance on coin-operated horses.
Silence fills the forest as a masked paintball player creeps over logs and leaves, unable to find the opposing team he knows is there. Suddenly, a shower of colored paint spews from behind a nearby tree, and the battle begins. Such moments unfold daily at PBC Paintball Park's facilities during the regular season. Their staff, all of whom are paintball players themselves, have designed both wooded and concept fields at Greensboro, Charlotte, and Greenville. At Greensboro, wooded landscapes transform into a battlefield with bunkers, creeks, and large forts. Felled trees and dense foliage give players ample cover amid the undeveloped woods of Greenville's fields, while tournaments unfold across PBC Charlotte's level terrain. Additionally, PBC Paintball Parks are affiliated with Paintball Central, which runs two stores in North Carolina and one store in South Carolina where players can stock up on enough paintball gear to ready themselves for the inevitable cartoon-character rebellion.
Anytime Fitness is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and every day of the year with nonstop security. The open schedule ensures you have no excuses not to get in shape—unlike its competitor, Nevertime Fitness, which only opens its single Barrow, Alaska, location during solar eclipses. A 30-day all-access membership (a $69 value) gives bodies access to enough treadmills, cycles, elliptical machines, and weights to make them capable of running a marathon inside a swimming pool filled with mud.
Willow Creek's 6,890-yard course is woven into a landscape of shimmering water features and lush groves to create a placid, yet challenging, course. Send orbs soaring over meticulously maintained bermudagrass fairways and land them atop subtle, rolling Crenshaw bentgrass greens. Aboard the included cart, players can zip from tee to green, avoiding exhaustion and sentient windmills while saving energy between flurries of orb whacking and divot flinging. After a round spent navigating Willow Creek's bunkers and trees, take repose at the course's grill, or seek out expert advice and new equipment in the fully stocked pro shop.
