A science-themed art class where kids create baking soda volcanoes. A Spanish class that teaches children a new language through song. A cupcake-decorating class that shows how to customize desserts with hand-piped frosting. The team of instructors at Kidstarz International Academy of Creative Arts has been hosting fun, enriching classes like these for more than a decade. Youngsters can stretch the boundaries of their imaginations, explore their own creativity, and learn a wide array of skills in after-school sessions or day-long summer camps. Parents can also arrange birthday parties at the academy, where partygoers can work on an array of activities before singing "Happy Birthday" and carving a bust of the birthday child out of cake.
Though they operate more than 200 locations in upwards of 30 states, the team behind U.S. Baseball Academy aims to make each young athlete's experience a personal one. Their four- or six-week camps are taught by local instructors who are current or former coaches at the high school or college level, and typically offer a 6:1 or better player-to-teacher ratio for intense, professional-style training. The Academy's proven itinerary of hitting, pitching, fielding, and baserunning drills was developed by an advisory board of college coaches and Major League players, including Cy Young Award?winner and ace pitcher Brandon Webb.
