Yes: a combined 30 plus years of law-enforcement experience. Certifications include a POST firearms instructor, NRA pistol instructor, and Advanced SWAT and Active Shooter trainers.
What aspect of your job, or the services you offer, most often surprises people?
Our ability to teach even the most novice clients basic firearms techniques that enable them to shoot well and safely and come away from class with a basic understanding of firearm laws as they apply to Colorado Concealed Carry.

John Pinelli had lived across the country, but he always returned to one place: Philadelphia. Each year, no matter where he was, he would come back to that city like a boomerang. Pinelli's decision to leave his corporate job perplexed his family, but he knew he was on to something. After all, he knew how to make italian hoagies and hot roast beef. It all proved successful, and South Philly Cheese Steaks now has several locations across Denver and its surrounding areas?with more likely to come.
At each restaurant, a simple dining room greets patrons with casual tables and a custom mural of Philadelphia's skyline. In the kitchen, cooks work with many ingredients sourced right from Philly. In addition to the classic cheese steak, they assemble special varieties, such as a pizza cheese steak with provolone and marinara.
It's often easy to forget that humans aren't the only beings on earth in need of sanctuary; sometimes, animals need it, too. Set across 900 rolling, scenic acres, The Great Escape Mustang Sanctuary is dedicated to rescuing, training, and providing sanctuary for wild horses and burros, specifically American and Spanish Mustangs. At the facility, these magnificent animals roam just as they would in the wild, sharing land and closet space with other herds and feeding off the greenery that surrounds them. But just because these horses are in protection doesn't mean they're off limits to the public. "By tasting my wines, you can actually hone your palate way quicker because [the wines are] technically correct" in the way they are selected, shipped, and stored, she says. "If you're not tasting something that's proper, you won't know what chardonnay is supposed to taste like."
A strong belief that wine should be enjoyed and shared with others inspires VinBoutique's tasting classes, where Cross and other wine experts share insights into different varietals, food pairings, and wine-making techniques. Using an approach designed to be both fun and unintimidating, Cross also includes a question-and-answer section, as well as easy-to-follow tasting notes, making her classes accessible to everyone from the casual wine fan to the connoisseur who can uncork a bottle using only their mind. As Dani continued to try new wines and savor her favorite French vintages, she became dismayed. Often, the wines she bought had been stored improperly or for too long, destroying the bouquets and noses that she loved. "Born of frustration, I decided to start my own [wine boutique]." And thus she curated a selection of French wines for VinBoutique.
