Froots has some of the marks of fast food—the quick service, the expanding franchising—but there's one glaring difference: the healthiness of the menu. The eatery's smoothies mix 100% juice with fat-free vanilla yogurt, and each 16-ounce cup contains three servings of fruit. The eats are nutritious, too, forgoing greasy burgers in favor of albacore tuna salads and wasabi chicken paninis. But all that isn't to say the menu lacks ways to treat yourself. Indulgent shakes blend together ingredients such as chocolate, peanut butter, and bananas, and Energize smoothies work Red Bull into the mix so that diners have the stamina they need to back-flip a marathon.

If you were to trace the origin of one of Jamba Juice?s freshly squeezed juices, it wouldn?t take long before you ended up face to face with its most important supplier: Mother Nature. Whole fruits and vegetables from her gardens, groves, and orchards fill Jamba Juice's stores: kale, apples, pineapple, carrots, beets, and other produce. Although it?s serious about filling cups with wholesome, natural ingredients, the company is a little more playful when it comes to the palate.

Sure, there are classic juices on the juice menu. Purely Carrot, for instance, which is as elemental and straightforward as it sounds. But there?s also the Tropical Greens, which combines apple juice and pineapple with super greens and chia seeds. And there?s Kale Orange Power, loaded with kale, bananas, and orange juice?all of which are packed with a serious helping of vitamins and manganese. Regardless of which flavor you choose, each 12-ounce juice packs in at least 1.5 servings of fruits and veggies, making it a convenient way to restore energy and get nutrition on the go. The same commitment to simplifying healthy eating can be found throughout the Jamba Juice menu, from its Fruit and Veggie smoothies to its Artisan Flatbreads.

In addition to providing healthy options to customers, Jamba Juice sponsors Team Up for a Healthy America. The initiative is focused on improving childhood nutrition and fitness by encouraging fans to join the Team Up community of celebrities, athletes and other leaders committed to helping the nation stay fit?which you can do by visiting the main Jamba Juice website.

With over 500 stores serving the full freshly squeezed juice menu, Jamba Juice is the perfect way to blend in the good.

Capicola's Gourmet Sandwich Co. and the in-house illy Cafe combine to create a modern Euro deli, specializing in a menu of gourmet sandwiches and pizzas, up to 80% of which are organic. Guests gather around rustic finished wood tables in a dining room awash in natural light for such bread-borne meals as the baked muffuleta: a pile of capicola, prosciutto, salami, and mortadella cuddling under a blanket of olive tapenade and melted provolone. Or they might opt for a pulled pork panino, slow-roasted in chipotle-barbecue sauce and topped with a choice of shoestring onion rings, carmelized onions, or invisible emperor's new onions. For a gourmet kick to start the day, the cafe illy serves gourmet coffee and sweet baked goods such as croinuts and and cannoli. And the lineup of two dozen bottled beers and international wines by the glass helps cap the night.

After dishing up a portion of frozen yogurt, customers can accessorize it with more than 40 toppings such as gummies, cereal, and fresh fruit. Although Yogurt Lounge is primarily a self-serve operation, staffers can blend smoothies, steep green and thai teas, and dispense batches of shaved ice. Lox of Bagels is breaking the bagel out of breakfast-food prison. While they still serve up bagels loaded with egg and cheese, or bright slices of fresh lox, come midday they build out all sorts of lunch-time delights. In fact, customers might find that the density of bagels better for supporting the hearty slices of ham and generous dollops of mayo than the alternative?wheat bread or their bare hands. To wash it all down, customers grab a bottled drink from the cooler or fill up with hot coffee from the urns lining the wall.
