Mitch Lee, founder of Fit Figure Boot Camp, designed the women-only program after helping his sister through her own weight loss. His 45-minute boot-camp classes target women's problem areas—such as abs and arms—in a supportive environment. He also offers nutritional guides and email coaching for added encouragement.
Inside Ladimax Sports and Fitness’ 6,500-square-foot facility, women can burn calories, build muscle, and decrease body fat on the basketball court, on a military-style obstacle course, or during group fitness classes such as kickboxing and spin. As a women’s only gym, Ladimax Sports and Fitness strives to provide a nonthreatening and comfortable environment for their members, while offering a variety of programs and services catered to women of all ages and fitness levels.
Vibrant red, yellow, and blue walls envelop a plethora of weightlifting and cardio machines in Body & Soul Core Fitness’s main room. While lifting barbells or twirling legs atop treadmills, patrons can watch flat-screen TVs or peek through the windows into the cardio-kickboxing room lined with red heavy bags swinging under the force of swift kicks and punches. The gym’s classes also include Zumba, DanceSports, spinning, and circuit training. Those interested in more individualized attention can take part in one-on-one personal-training sessions with the gym’s experienced instructors.
M.E.L.T. Fitness Studio's trainers see each body can be defined and molded with the appropriate exercises. Rather than a standard group workout for all their clients, they provide what they call group personal training, modifying and accentuating various exercises to the ability level of their students. They stick to a theme each day, reserving Tuesdays for fat-burning blasts, Fridays for abdominal work, and Saturdays for m.e.l.t.ed cardio, which burns as much fat as possible while building cardio endurance. Skok has designed a 21-day boot-camp program that includes a structured meal plan with simplified recipes and recommendations for eating the right carbs at the right time of day. She also offers a custom 90-day Body by Vi plan, which employs protein shakes to supplement a healthy diet.
