Throughout the year, the 91-acre Charles L. Bowers School Farm educates students of all ages about science, agriculture, and livestock. But as the season's change, so does the farm's lineup of family-friendly outdoor activities, welcoming guests of all ages for autumnal activities including corn mazes, pumpkin picking, and wagon rides. Like the 1958 Plymouth Fury, the farm's corn mazes come in both haunted and unhaunted varieties, challenging explorers of all ages with 2.5 miles of twisting, turning paths. Should they find their way out, guests can reacclimate to life on the outside by striking up conversation with the resident rabbits, sheep, and llamas. From there, they explore the pumpkin patch for a perfect pie or jack-o'-lantern candidate or ride one of the farm's ponies, which turn into pumpkins at midnight.

Penny White’s Golf Academy espouses the methods of legendary golfer Ben Hogan, a lifelong student of the game whose techniques of delayed release and upright swing plane have helped players of every stripe produce sound, repeatable shots. The academy’s sessions cover every part of the golf swing for all age groups, allowing pupils to understand their own technique so they can coach themselves and yell at their reflection in the mirror if they make a mistake. Starting from a flawless preset routine, instructors illustrate how the mechanics of a delayed release coupled with the proper swing plane can lead to higher club-head speed and thus more distance. All instruction takes place either on the range or in the academy’s video golf simulator, a sophisticated bit of technology that further allows the golfer to see the reasoning behind their own methods.
