A collaboration between Gold's Gym, Title Boxing Club, local cycling studio St. Louis Spinning, and cavernous climbing gym Upper Limits, Bring the Heat poses a challenge that demands unwavering endurance and focus. In September of 2009, Get U Moving Fitness's founder, Yokasta, got herself moving after gradually gaining weight for a handful of years. She started running and taking Turbo Kick classes, which combine kickboxing and dance moves. Yokasta became so hooked on her new lifestyle, she decided to share that experience with others and opened Get U Moving Fitness. Along with teaching her favorite class, Turbo Kick, Yokasta and her husband also help runners plot training plans for 5Ks, marathons, and sprints to beat their spouse to the remote control.
Founder Rachel Curtis drew on her faith when starting P31 Fitness—the name derives from a passage about women in the Bible's Book of Proverbs—but also on her extensive health and wellness background. After finding a need for women's exercise classes, she and her husband developed P31, which grew into scores of franchises across the country. P31 offers women support in their fitness goals as exercisers challenge themselves, aiming to achieve spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical happiness. The fitness modalities include cardiovascular, kickboxing, Pilates, and circuit-training sessions, among others.

Since the first Fantastic Sams salon opened its doors 35 years ago, stylists at each locally owned and operated franchise have stayed up to date on the latest industry trends. Before each haircut, a stylist shampoos and massages the scalp for three minutes to relieve tension and cleanse the mane of any gels or Gak. In addition to coiffing or coloring tresses, stylists trim beards and mustaches, or remove them entirely with facial-waxing services. An exclusive line of shampoos, conditioners, and styling products nourish hair with pro-vitamins, soy protein, and silicone.
