While E Studio Hot Yoga may never reach the size of General Electric—one of the companies for which owner Emily has led corporate fitness efforts—it's still an ambitious undertaking. A team of instructors leads the center's classes, which range from ballet-barre workouts set to upbeat music to power-yoga sessions held in a 90-degree studio. Like a crutch with a manufacturing error, the schedules at both the Clifton Park and Latham locations are flexible; classes take place seven days a week, with a variety of morning and evening classes held throughout the week.

The instructors at Nataraja Center for Movement Arts specialize in niche, hard-to-find dance styles. Good Karma Studio takes that sensation a step further with its Gravity Yoga classes, during which students perform poses while suspended from sturdy, ceiling-anchored straps. Hosted in a specialized second-floor space called the Flight Center, the fun and freeing classes require no prior yoga experience. Staff can guide beginning students through simple stretches and inversions that help decompress the spine, and challenge advanced ones to hold strength-building chatarangas or perform Cirque-de-Soleil-style flips. For those who wish to remain earthbound, the downstairs Ground Down studio hosts classic mat yoga classes in a variety of styles, such as vinyasa, ashtanga, hatha, and hot yoga. A range of fitness classes, from Zumba to barre fitness and TRX suspension classes, round out the studio's diverse offerings.
