Where can future brides and grooms sample a piece of Sylvia Weinstock cake, admire the latest Vera Wang couture wedding gown, and get Bobbi Brown beauty tips, all under one roof? At venues from Los Angeles to New York, where Wedding Salon founder, Tatiana Byron, has organized a one-day luxury wedding showcase boasting some of the top vendors in the industry, introducing big-day ideas from top area vendors such as The Registry at Bloomingdale's, AMResorts, Lancome at Bergdorf Goodman, The Container Store, Magnolia Photo Booth, and celebrity wedding experts. Byron has been cultivating her all-star connections for more than a decade. After working at Turner Broadcasting System and directing sales, marketing, and production for a trade-show company, she created her own planning company, 4pm Events. Byron began coordinating parties for famous faces including Joan Rivers, Mary J. Blige, and Lionel Richie?no easy task, given the limited number of vendors willing to build dance floors on the ceiling. Byron went on to create Wedding Salon expos to give future brides a taste of celebrity-caliber elegance. She also offers educational wedding boot camps that help duos avoid hidden costs and learn tips for planning their special day. Byron's services have been highlighted in numerous media, including features in the New York Times, the New York Post, and Fortune Small Business.

Q&A with Adriana Monted'oro, President & Design Director
What sets your business apart from your competition?
We are always available to our clients. Regardless of what we are doing or how busy we are, when our clients call us, I personally call them back. Weekends, holidays, evenings. If something needs attention immediately, we take care of it immediately. If our client wants to meet with us, either at our office or at his/hers, we will meet with them at the very earliest possible time. As for our work, I can honestly say that our clients are completely satisfied with our websites as well as with the attention we give to them. We truly care about their businesses. Aside from that, we create really beautiful websites which work perfectly and are completely unique and specific to each individual client.
What was the inspiration for starting this business?
I had been a designer/illustrator for many years. I had been employed by other firms so I already understood and had experience in the business end of design, but I wanted more creative freedom. In 2005 I decided that I knew enough about designing, and managing a team, and felt I was capable of managing my own business. I was very positive about taking that step and I'm very happy I did!
What is the best reaction you?ve ever gotten from a customer?
One of my clients told me that he could never have built up his business without me. I know that's really stretching it, but it felt great hearing that! We did go the extra mile for this client (probably several extra miles) and we wanted so much to see him succeed. We not only set up his website, but we also advised and helped him set up advertisements, amazon sales, an online membership club, etc. It's a very nice feeling to know someone appreciates what we do and it's even nicer knowing you've been helpful in someone else's success.
What?s your favorite part about your job?
Personally, I love conceptualizing a site for a particular business. I like to incorporate, if I can, the personality of the client with unique design elements specifically for that client/business. I am the visual designer here, so I do enjoy designing most.

Q&A with the Manager
When and how did you first develop a passion for your work?
Bounce 'N Play is our newest facility. However, we have been doing children's parties and open play for 15 years. We love to offer what the community needs. Children need a safe, clean, and climate-controlled place to play. It is essential for them to socialize and have fun.
What?s your favorite part of your job?
We love interacting with the kids. Every child is different and we recognize that. The nice thing about Bounce 'N Play is that we have a variety of things to offer for children from ages 1?13. Kids can run, jump, bounce, and let themselves go.
Have you ever been a patron of your own business? If so, what was the most enjoyable part?
The hosts that run the parties and that take care of open play truly enjoy interacting with and focusing on the kids. Many of them have been with us for years, and they truly enjoy what they do. Our customers also appreciate the excitement they have for their work.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
This is our newest location. It accommodates children off all ages. We have inflatables, a toddler area, a three-level soft-play gym, giant slides, obstacle courses, bouncy houses, a carousel, and arcades.
Please look at our website for the open-play times. It's not offered every day, so it is important to check before your visit.
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Glen?s education?a Master?s Degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University and certification in sports dietetics (CSSD)? plus his 21 years of experience and down to earth manner set him apart from his peers.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
At e3, we are aware of the frustrations our customers face (fad diets) and we have done something about it. Instead of basing our programs on marketing and fads, we have chosen to focus on three things that are far more tangible ? eating, exercise, and education (thus the name was born).
What do you love most about your job?
Glen works with teams and individual athletes of all ages and skill sets in his private practice in NY, NJ, and CT; his clients range from professional athletes to elementary school students. The most rewarding feeling is to see the kids succeed and the athletes meet their competition goals.
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?
"You have changed my life!"
On select Friday and Saturday nights, Project Playdate opens its doors and arms to young ones for three-hour bouts of evening childcare. Designed to allow parents a night out without having to find a babysitter, the not-for-profit organization hosts drop-off evening-care pajama parties for children aged 2 to 6. In a caregiver-to-child ratio of 1:3, professional nannies lead little ones in activities such as story time, arts and crafts, and dancing, all designed for optimum tuckering out before bedtime. Each event is also punctuated by a dinner of all-natural, whole-food pizza, which accommodates specific food needs and is capped with a feature film.
This summer, Project Playdate is taking its evening care model and adding some sunshine to bring you drop off daytime playdates. These three-hour playdates might visit locations such as the Central Park Zoo, the American Museum of Natural History, and the Tribeca Children?s Museum of the Arts.
All proceeds from Project Playdate events are paid forward to fuel social change and help at-risk young mothers.
