When Tazas Coffee closes at 10pm and the shop goes quiet, its award-winning cinnamon rolls are still working. They rise throughout the night so chefs can bake them first thing in the morning and guests can start their own days by biting into the sweet, flaky croissant dough slathered in creamy vanilla butter icing.
Instead of hiring an army of local grandmas, the shop does all its own baking, from the cinnamon rolls down through the blueberry muffins and eight different kinds of cookies. The menu isn't solely sweets, though. It also features omelets, grilled panini sandwiches, and personal pizzas, all of which can be enjoyed with drinks and exotic teas from the shop's espresso bar. Tazas even features indoor and outdoor hookah areas, where smokers can enjoy more than 50 flavors of premium, slow-burn shisha.
