Freerunning, an offshoot of parkour, takes parkour ideas and adds creativity and acrobatics. Both are taught at the aptly named Miami Freerunning and Parkour Academy. Led by a team of instructors that boasts 10 years of combined experience in both disciplines, as well as backgrounds in martial arts and stunt work, the academy welcomes students of all levels to its obstacle-ridden and mat-filled gym.
Spirited students have turned to Top Gun Cheer and Dance to hone their skills since 1994. In that time, the gym's instructors have earned acclaim at the national and international level. Co-owners Victor and Kristen Rosario use their expertise to place students on competitive teams, dividing them into age- and skill-appropriate groupings that focus on cheerleading, hip-hop, and jazz.
