Under the baton of conductor George Hanson, the TSO's string, brass, and wind ensembles will kick off the concert series with Stars of the Symphony, which showcases a glittering array of chamber gems that culminates in Handel's jubilant Concerto Grosso, Op. 6, No. 12 in B minor. Marvelous Mozart celebrates the genius of Mozart in non-synthesized fashion with his instantly recognizable "Eine kleine Nachtmusik" before closing with the graceful complexity of Wolfgang Amadeus' Symphony No. 40 in G Minor, which he composed shortly after springing fully formed from his father's head. Schumann Romance focuses on the husband-and-wife team of Robert and Clara Schumann, particularly Robert's famous Overture, Scherzo & Finale, Op. 52 and piano concerto. Pianist Elizabeth Joy Roe will juxtapose Robert's energetic concerto with Clara's more playful, elegant Piano Trio in A Minor. The season closes with Virtuoso Violin & Haydn as concertmaster Aaron Boyd dazzle audiences with the soaring stringsmanship of Beethoven's Coriolan overture, Vieuxtemps' brilliant Violin Concerto, and Haydn's joyous 92nd Symphony (the Oxford).
Jazz and java?the two words don't usually go together, but they work at Zanzibar Brews. The progressive coffeehouse plucks the best in local entertainment, then blends it with freshly brewed coffee drinks, including a white chocolate mocha, Irish nut latte, grasshopper, and Milky Way.
The coffee creations, as well as tea drinks, pair with the menu's savory sandwiches, salads, and breakfast offerings, which patrons devour while the live jazz music plays. Those who are brave enough can take to the stage themselves during open mic night or whenever a performer makes the mistake of taking a short break.

At C'est Si Bon Cafe, crepe-makers take the delicate, ultra-thin French-style pancakes and fold them over both sweet and savory ingredients while patrons look on. The buttery pockets hold everything from roast beef, blue cheese, saut?ed mushrooms and onions, fresh arugula, and a bourbon sauce to Nutella, bananas, and pecans. The reviewer at Columbus Underground particularly loved the dessert crepes, calling the Banana "dynamite" and saying "its butter and brown sugar make the flavors blend into something akin to old-school dessert favorite, Bananas Foster."
C'est Si Bon Cafe's hand-scrawled chalkboard menu shows off the crepes, which can accommodate gluten-free diners. Staffers also assemble breakfast crepes.
