A few years back, Trudy Marchetti watched a loved one struggle with a serious heart condition and the difficult recovery that followed. The experience changed Trudy's views on fitness, and led her to reexamine her own exercise habits. In 2008, Trudy became a certified Zumba instructor. Today, she owns e'Studio Z Fitness, where she leads groups through Zumba's exotic dance moves set to Latin and international beats. But Trudy makes sure e'Studio Z Fitness isn't limited to just Zumba. Exercisers can also keep their workout routines fresh by using the facility's TRX suspension training or by teaming up with a personal trainer.
Since 1995, the staff at Classic Bodyworks 24 Hour Gym & Fitness has kept the family-owned fitness studio in pristine condition?and now, it's accessible to members at any hour, day or night. Long lines of ellipticals and treadmills await inside, in addition to a variety of free-weights, machines, and little notes hidden here and there that simply read, "Flex." A number of group aerobics classes are also available to members in the airy studio. Personal trainers are frequently on-hand to work with visitors and help reach fitness or weight-loss goals.
In 1975, Karen was overweight and looking for a change. She began training and teaching as an aerobics instructor at the YMCA, and for the next 15 years led classes around the Chicagoland area. Still, Karen found herself once again seeking a new outlet, and fell in love with pole dancing.
Today, Karen shares her passion for fitness at Studio Venus. Female-focused classes cover a broad range of topics suitable for beginners or experts, and pole-dancing workouts can be supplemented with antigravity silk lessons and yoga. With every class and every expansion of the curriculum, Studio Venus strives to create a safe environment for women to explore new experiences and spin around poles without the hassle of climbing up a barbershop.
BodyMax Fitness' 25,000-square-foot facility features a cardio theater, racquetball courts, and a slew of weights and workout machines, including Power Plates. To make sure exercisers don't feel overwhelmed by the facility's size, the staff of personal trainers and group fitness instructors lead one-on-one workouts and classes, such as yoga, Zumba, and TRX suspension training. Before or after exercising, members can take advantage of convenient amenities, such as childcare services and a smoothie bar, where they can cool off by pouring a frosty smoothie over their sweaty faces.
Certified personal trainers at dlux Training flex their mental muscles to devise one-on-one workout programs that maximize results, economize time, and protect joints and muscles from injury. Each 20-minute workout combines slow cadences with a high-intensity range of strength-training exercises to deliver results regardless of one’s age, fitness level, or sports-team preference.
