Five years ago, Stephanie—a licensed nail technician since 1999—survived a massive stroke. But that didn't stop her from pursuing her passion for her work. After a hiatus, she's now retaking the nail-art reins to refresh her skills while rebuilding her business, Tranquility Nail Spa. She offers a variety of nail services, including manicures with chip-resistant Shellac polish, pampering spa pedicures, and acrylic nails.
Energy Center Fitness Club is manned by a staff of personal trainers, group instructors, lifestyle coaches, and massage therapists. Staffers keep the club open 24/7 to give members round-the-clock opportunities to lift free weights, climb aboard cardio and weight machines, and make saltwater taffy in the stretching area. The staff leads more than 20 group classes, whose curricula include boot camp, Zumba Toning, Pilates, and cycling. Owner, trainer, and lifestyle coach Shawn Bollig also discusses nutrition with guests, while the club's Thin & Healthy Total Solution offers clients a weight loss program aimed toward a balanced, healthy lifestyle.
Free towel service keeps workouts hygienic, as do the private locker and shower areas. Massage therapy soothes peaked muscles, while Energy Center Fitness Club renders clients tan in lie-down and standup UV booths. A complimentary play area, meanwhile, keeps children entertained and prevents their imaginary friends from hogging the invisible elliptical machines.
Professionally trained nail artiste Darci Eichelkraut performs the manicuring duties at Livin' it Up! Nail Studio, which sets up shop inside Hometown Salons in Verona. Plush, green chairs prevent clients from falling to the floor or sitting on a ficus as Darci soaks hands, tidies up cuticles, shapes and buffs nails, and applies CND Shellac polish, if requested. The professional digit doctor also pampers toes during a wide range of pedicure services, including sessions specifically designed for men and a treatment that incorporates callus reduction. Rows of colorful polish options and framed pictures of vividly decorated nails adorn Darci’s hygienic and cozy treatment room, which also features stained-wood blinds, the kind of blinds most likely to be “borrowed” by Bob Vila.
