When it was founded in 1959, Ziebart?s business model hinged on a single service: its innovative rust-prevention procedure. However, the chain has diversified its auto treatments throughout the last five decades. Though the team of certified technicians continues to safeguard vehicles against corrosion, they also protect paint jobs with Z-Shield and Diamond Gloss coatings and render interior fabrics stain-resistant with their house Ultra Fabric Protector formula. They clean and disinfect ride interiors, and hand-wash and machine polish exteriors to a sparkling shine. Beyond up-keeping vehicles, they stock an arsenal of car electronics that run the gamut from remote car starters to in-dash navigation systems, which can help drivers find their way back home without relying on a trail of breadcrumbs.
When Mike's Carwash first opened in 1948, it was one of only 18 carwash businesses in the United States. Today, the family-owned establishment keeps the 65-year-old tradition of gussying up automobiles alive at 42 locations throughout the Midwest. At each location, accommodating staffers stand by to assist customers during the cleaning process. Decked out in cartoon neckties, the cheerful team ushers cars into computer-controlled washers that eschew traditional gear-operated brushes and baseball bats in favor of controlled sprays and soft cloths. After the mixture of eight signature soaps de-grimes surfaces, 200-miles-per-hour gusts of hot air dry vehicles instantly. Mike's also offers specialty coats to give car exteriors and tires additional shine.
For two decades, First Avenue Car Wash had helped to rid Evansville vehicles of the dust and detritus that result from a life on the open road, winning the Platinum Award for Best Car Wash from the Evansville Courier & Press Reader's Choice Awards for nine years in a row and a two-time winner of Evansville's Best Car Wash in Evansville Living Magazine. Open Monday–Saturday from the early hour of 7 a.m. and remaining open to catch commuters until 6 p.m., First Avenue performs full-service washing, professional detailing services, and other dirt-banishing and rust-inhibiting services. Delivering fast, friendly service, this community-oriented car wash also offers a comfortable lounge to enjoy while you wait.
So established is Circle K Midwest that even brand-new vehicles recognize what its red-and-white logo stands for—fuel, snacks, and everything else a car might need to keep powering down the road with its driver. Circle K's story starts back in 1951, when Fred Hervey bought three Kay's Food Stores in El Paso, Texas. Under his guidance, these three little shops grew into the more than 3,000 convenience stores that crouch on our nation's street corners today.
After rolling up to a Circle K, drivers can pump their faithful roadsters full of high-octane fuel and send them skipping through a car wash to experience the cleansing touch of Blue Coral Beyond Green and Rain-X products. Then it's time to step inside the air-conditioned shop for a peek at the provisions. Rows of sodas hibernate behind glass doors, and snacks, candy, and their ATM guardians stand boldly out in the open. Some Circle Ks also offer the Take Away Fresh Café, which presents an appetizing lineup of healthy road fare including sandwiches, fruit cups, and fresh-cut vegetables. Drivers can gear up for a long drive with premium coffees or enjoy a cold Polar Pop, whose specially formulated cup keeps drinks colder thanks to the family of tiny snowmen trapped in its foam walls.

Pro Tip: Please drive in and use the "attendant" lane for this special offer.
What's one tip for first-time customers that will make them feel like regulars?
Please use the mirror to help you guide your left front tire onto the conveyer. Once on conveyor, you may take your hands off the wheel. The attendant will stop you and have you put your vehicle into neutral. Keep your foot off the brake, hands off the wheel, antenna down, and wipers off.
What aspect of your job, or the services you offer, most often surprises people?
Customers love how clean and shiny their cars look afterward?especially when we get all the bugs off and their cars come out of the car wash almost completely dry.
Though equipped with an automated wash tunnel, All American Car Wash begins all of its treatments with a hand pre-wash. Only after technicians have loosened dirt from the paint and whispered soft nothings into the side-view mirrors can cars, trucks, and SUVs roll inside. At the end of the tunnel, the All American team dresses tires and swings open the doors to swiftly clean the interior.
