Sean Holder of Virginia Photo Safari embarked on his career in photography in 1987, when he made a pinhole camera with his own two hands. Since that auspicious start, the self-motivated shutterbug has enjoyed a successful career working in more than 19 different countries, including the Philippines and Bangladesh. Along with executive director Barry Rowland—himself a three-decade veteran of the business—Holder leads individual and group safaris covering such topics as night photography, F-stops and shutter speeds, and capturing clear, close-up shots of nature.
At Kings Grant Citgo–voted Best Automotive Service Center and one of the Best Car Wash winners in the Best of Hampton Roads 2011 awards–a cadre of ASE-certified technicians give domestic and foreign cars of all makes and models the maintenance they need to hug the road. During the one-hour hand wash and vacuum, a skilled auto-bather slathers suds over windows, sloughs debris off of fenders, and chips away any sand bags preventing the car from achieving flight. A thorough vacuum extricates crumbs and other debris from floorboards, seats, and cup holders.

Ocean Air Auto Repair Tire Pros won a 2010 Best of Hampton Roads Award from The Virginian-Pilot for its outstanding customer service and quality workmanship. During the oil change, ASE-certified technicians replace worn out lubricant with fresh stores of slick hydrocarbons, preempting undesirable grinding like chaperones at a high school dance. The auto authorities then rotate the car's circular shoes, extending the tires' lifetime and improving their performance by counteracting the uneven wear caused by taking Devil’s Curve on two wheels.
