For nearly 40 years, the experts at Maryland Small Arms Range have helped to hone the aim of law-enforcement and security personnel as well as everyday citizens. After range outings, their clients can check out the showroom, where weapons experts advise on firearms, ammunition, and self-defense apparel.
Sam Hatfield honed his gunsmithing skills in one of the most elite units in the US Army: the US Army Marksmanship Unit. He crafted customized weapons for the men and women of the unit and now personalizes firearms for the general public. In addition to his customized guns, he and his staff offer training classes such as a NRA basic home-safety course. Visitors can also eschew guns altogether inside the simulator, which drops users into tense situations to let them hone their skills while safely under artificial fire.
In addition to its range, the firearm emporium invites guests to square off against zombies and complete more than 300 other scenarios in its 3D simulators. Classes cover practical topics such as shotgun home defense, basic pistol use, and safety recommendations. Guests can also partake in self-defense and martial-arts training, including sessions that cater exclusively to women.
Class instruction is provided at the Clifton facility. For live-fire training, Guns-n-Gear's instructors work out of the NRA range in Fairfax, VA. Guests are provided safety instruction prior to firing on the range.
Instructor will provide firearm at no extra cost if the customer does not own one.
The instructors at Guns-n-Gear LLC dedicate their classes to developing handgun knowledge, range-shooting skills, and firearm safety in students pursuing proficiency in handgun sports and self-protection. The Excellence in Shooting class gives students 60 minutes of certified instructor live fire training, focusing on techniques to develop handling skills and accuracy in a safety-first environment.
Though Israeli Tactical School's modern indoor range facility for professionals often welcomes police officers, the instructors here are particularly skilled at working with the general public. Owner and instructor Tomer saw combat as a former Israeli special forces member, and also served in the Shin-Biet (Israeli Secret Service) in embassies around the world. At Israeli Tactical School's tactical training classes, students are provided with the most up-to-date training for skill levels from beginners to law enforcement special units, combining elements of hand-to-hand combat and shooting scenarios, including firing while on the move. To enhance their students' training, the instructors set up several attack scenarios during each class.
