Located inside Harrisonville City Park, High Performance Paintball has spent the past decade filling their 10 acres of civic space with colorful paint splatters. Combat rages across their three fields, which include a speedball field furnished with inflated barriers where skilled players can hide during fast-paced melees. While one wooded field has enough open space for more than 20 players, the second favors deliberate stalking with dense trees, a burbling creek, and a 3,000 square-foot fort with multiple rooms.
A golf club's atmosphere can often be traced to the personality of the head golf professional. For the members and guests at the semiprivate Rolling Hills Country Club, that is a very good thing. Head Professional and PGA member Steve Nolawski infuses his great number of roles?from general manager to lesson-giver to tee-time receptionist?with a friendly smile and player-oriented approach. Steve has served in this all-encompassing capacity for the club since 2001, as well as created leagues, set up club tournaments, and coached on-course etiquette to the resident squirrels.
The 18-hole course, however, is naturally the club's focal point. Stretching 6,500 yards from the tips, it's a intermediate-length course that's manageable for beginners, a challenge to avid players, and walkable for those who enjoy golf's exercise. A driving range, practice green, and pro shop round out the club.

With Truman Lake Air Sports' airborne activities, adrenaline junkies can soar over the titular lake in a powered paraglider or free fall from a plane. Powered paragliding allows adventurers to use a combination of wind and motor power, instead of strings attached to a flock of birds, to glide through the air. Truman Lake Air Sports pairs students with an instructor during tandem flights that last anywhere between 5 to 30 minutes. Instructors can also take skydivers out on tandem dives.
