What is the one feature of your business that you're most proud of?
When you walk into Lasertag Adventure, you are entering another world. Our facility is heavily themed with wall-to-ceiling murals including our Magma Mania arcade with a phenomenal black-light volcanic theme. Our laser-tag arena has multiple levels of jungle ruins that allow your imagination to soar as you embark on your adventure.
Have you ever been a patron of your own business? If so, what was the most enjoyable part?
Yes. I love that we can provide a great entertainment experience for guests of all ages. Children, parents, and grandparents all have a smile on their face when they finish playing laser tag.
As the old adage says, "Stuff happens." What training do you and your staff have to stay ahead of the unexpected?
Every position at Lasertag Adventure includes detailed training to ensure we are proving our guests with a great experience. [Providing a] safe environment, safe activities, and enthusiastic fun are critical aspects of our training.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
[We are] Milwaukee?s first multi-level laser-tag arena. A TV sitcom pilot, Mediocracy, was filmed on-location at Lasertag Adventure in 2012. Our recent expansion added trampoline dodgeball, mini bowling, a laser maze, a larger arcade, an observation deck, and a pizza restaurant.
Klinke Cleaners’ dependable service and lasting commitment to the trade hasn’t gone unnoticed. In the last 30 years, they have won a gold medal in Madison Magazine’s Best of Madison category 29 times. However, before founders Maurice and Trudy Klinke had ever conceived of opening a cleaners, they were the proud owners of Klinke Hatchery, which raised more than 125,000 baby chicks a week. Perhaps the smell given off by thousands of chickens inspired them to seek a less malodorous occupation, because in 1958, they opened the first location of Klinke Cleaners.
In its early days, Klinke Cleaners used Econ-O-Crest dry-cleaning machines—early forerunners of modern dry-cleaning machines—but as the business grew, so did its thirst for new technologies. Soon, the company was installing new equipment nearly as quickly as it could be created, including shirt-finishing stands, drapery-pleating machines, and pants leggers, used to set precise creases in slacks. In 2000, the Klinke family began to consider expansion beyond Madison, leading to a rapid period of growth that culminated in 21 locations across southern Wisconsin and one experimental site at the bottom of Lake Michigan.
Its EarthSmart Systems dry-cleaning process uses solvents and machines that are less damaging to the environment, as well as reusable garment bags and hangars to help decrease landfill waste. Most locations also offer a speedy turnaround with drive-thru windows and same-day pickup.
The curtain draws back, guests enter, and the curtain flutters closed behind them. Then the show begins as flashbulbs flicker and guests pose in pink cowboy hats and feather boas from the prop box.
