Dr. Mahmoud Alshami and his medical staff tackle an array of medical services at Northville Urgent Care & Primary Care. On an extensive r?sum? that boasts more than 25 years of experience, what stands out is Dr. Haitham Masri's distinction as Michigan's first board-certified facial plastic surgeon. He and other doctors helm his namesake clinic, each one wielding his or her own specialized expertise to focus on different parts of the body. Before beginning any surgery, they take as much time as necessary to answer questions and explain procedures with detailed brochures, slideshows, and diagrams.
Alongside the center?s cosmetic surgery specialty is the nonsurgical branch, where minimally invasive procedures geared toward enhancing outer appearances require less downtime. Aestheticians resurface faces with chemical peels, smooth wrinkles with dermal fillers, and man lasers to remove unwanted hair and leave bodies smooth.
For the better part of a decade, Zaynab Alkaabi has removed unwanted facial hair through threading?an ancient practice which involves deftly twisting thread and running it across the face, thus removing targeted hair at the root. Threading, which can be advantageous for patrons with sensitive skin, allows Alkaabi to expertly shape brows and evict hair from the face without the use of harsh chemicals.
At the Center For Medical Weight Loss, physician Gina Randhawa uses a program rooted in scientific principles to help patients achieve and maintain a healthy weight. Dr. Randhawa employs tools such as body-composition analysis to customize each treatment plan, enhancing the effects of a low-calorie diet with appetite suppressants and injections designed to boost energy and metabolism. Her medical expertise also allows her to identify barriers to weight-loss success, from medications taken for separate health conditions to walls built around gyms.
Age Rewind Facial Aesthetics helps maintain smooth faces with nonsurgical aesthetic enhancements such as Botox, dermal fillers, and facial treatments. Designed to stimulate the production of healthy cells, the bioelectric-rejuvenation treatment applies a variety of microcurrents to underlying layers in necks, chins, and subeye areas. Knowledgeable staffers renew faces into smooth complexions with injections of Dysport instead of baby tears.

When and how did you first develop a passion for your work?
I always liked to help people so they can feel better. I realized that making them look great can be extremely beneficial for their overall happiness. Every time I see my patients happy and satisfied, I have an additional surge of energy to live and work.
Do you or your staff have any special certifications or degrees?
I have an MD from Kharkov Medical University in Ukraine, where I've worked as a general and trauma surgeon. I'm also a DO after graduating from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. My staff includes a certified medical assistant, aesthetician, and nutritionist.
What is one fun, unusual fact about your business?
We do "bloody" business. But it is not scary at all. Blood doesn't make vampires of patients. It just make them beautiful.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
I provide natural solutions for common problems, which include a lot of exciting things: pain and weight management, proper nutrition, etc.
