Until brain transplant surgery becomes a reality, humans are stuck in the bodies they're born in. The trainers at The Body Shop—led by owner Elizabeth Carnley—aim to help clients make the most of that situation. Their women-only classes are designed to build muscle, increase endurance, and burn fat. They set hearts racing in high-energy Zumba dance classes, or build muscular power with boot camps that incorporate heavy dumbbell lifting, one of Elizabeth's favorite exercises. To keep their students motivated, they provide gentle verbal encouragement and festoon the walls with posters with phrases such as "Sweat is Fat Crying" or "Your Brain is Not a Negative Integer." To make their classes as convenient as possible, the studio hosts a first-come, first-served childcare service, capable of looking after up to ten tykes at a time.
Core Fight Academy’s decorated coach Blas Carrasco and his staff blast bodies of all fitness levels with intense strength training and toning workouts employing combat-sport conditioning methods. The 45-minute, outdoor Fighting Fit Boot Camp burns through exercises from cardio-boosting kick-boxing to muscle-carving lifts using cast-iron kettlebells, keeping muscles guessing and brains hoping to tone their cerebral gyros. The boot camp amps up on June 13 with a schedule of classes offered Monday through Thursday as well Saturday; trainees are welcome to attend any number of sessions each week.
The instructors at P31 Fitness aim to echo the sentiment of Proverbs 31, which speaks to the empowerment of women through hard work. To that end, they seemingly never run out of ways to make their students sweat. To combat the monotony of repetitive workouts, they rotate their boot-camp-style workouts, preventing boredom while staving off unproductive muscle memory. In addition to changing exercises, the team also arms ladies in their fight for personal wellness with daily health and nutrition tips, as well as cooldown time devoted to reflection on one's own spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical health.
The inspiring trainers at each MetaBody location lead troops of workouteers in results-oriented workouts several times weekly. Sweat sessions utilize a variety of exercises and disciplines to produce full-body results in a supportive environment, ideal for beginners and hard-core core-hardeners alike. During any class, motivational instructors will use the instinctual distrust of routine to their advantage. Begin a day of litigating with a refreshing early-morning boot-camp session, or wind down by burning evidence and pounds with a late-evening yoga class. Muscles are kept guessing with new and challenging moves during each session, so participants never fall into a boring, ineffective routine, such as regular teeth brushing. In addition to the fitness classes, students receive a success guide to help prepare for imminent pound loss, a nutrition guide, and a $100 gift certificate for individual coaching. Because the pass sets a 10-class cap at any given location, roving fitness mavens can further shake up their workout regimens by vetting a series of classes or instructors that work best for them.

Exercise is challenging, and people frequently give up on their fitness routines. How do you keep clients motivated?
Our classes are individualized; students work at their own pace. We endeavor to give our students a take-away each class, something that they can leave with and feel confident doing to help protect themselves. We want every student to have a victory in every class.
What is the biggest mistake you see people make when trying to get fit on their own?
They don't work past difficulties. Not everything is going to come easy the first time. Repetition is what ensures success.
What is a typical session of your program or class like for a student?
We train with Martial Arts Basic Techniques, conditioning and self-defense training.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
Our training atmosphere is very friendly and encouraging, we want to see everyone achieve their very best. Our goal is to support our students success.
