The NRA-certified instructors teach at indoor and outdoor ranges.
Depending on the class, shooters use different calibers of handguns, such as .22, .380, 9 millimeter, 40cal, 45ACP, and a .38 revolver.
Before becoming state- and NRA-certified firearms instructors, each Elite Tactical Training team member worked in law enforcement or the US Army. They draw from these experiences to teach safety during one-on-one, group, and women's-only classes that incorporate scenarios. To deal with each simulated situation, the experts teach their clients??who range from civilians to law-enforcement officers??to select a suitable caliber, safely handle their chosen firearm, and practice self-defense techniques.
At GreenStone Concrete Designs, the team crafts concrete pieces ranging from elegant charcoal-black countertops to decorative yard mushrooms. They hand-make each piece, customizing its color and finish; they can also enhance their handiwork with embellishments, such as shells and glass. They strive to make their process is eco-friendly, too, working with water-based sealants, low-VOC pigments, and recycled materials whenever possible.

NRA-certified firearms instructor Jeff Morelock has years of firearm and safety experience, having trained everyone from college students to SWAT officers and Special Forces teams. While working as a major crimes detective, Jeff investigated numerous self-defense shootings, learning nuances of the law that will help his students make the most informed decisions in using?or not using?a firearm. His comfortable, supportive teaching style encourages students to ask questions about topics ranging from firearm safety and concealed-weapons laws to defense shooting techniques.
The palm tree-lined campus at Sunstate Academy betrays its function by appearing on the surface to be an upscale salon. Yet, instead of performing the services themselves, the professionals inside are teaching and observing students as they put into practice their knowledge of cosmetology at the school's Salon Solaris. At pristine styling and wash stations, they cut, relax, color, perm, and condition hair. With the diversity of student interest comes diversity of services, and patrons might be pleasantly surprised to find dreadlocks, candy curls, finger waves, and elephant ears on the menu. The apprentices also dabble in nail and spa services, performing mani-pedis, and facials.
Brian Wang and his fellow instructors teach at a private outdoor facility as well as local indoor ranges, including Florida Firearms Academy.
In most cases, instructors supply everything needed for a class. That includes safety gear, ammo, and several types of guns?such as rifles, shotguns, revolvers, and handguns.
NRA-certified firearms and self-defense instructor Brian Wang likes to keep his classes small. Oftentimes he trains one-on-one. That way, he can make sure every person learns the proper technique for shooting a handgun, rifle, or other firearm. Brian, along with his fellow instructors at Brian Wang LLC, also trains people in hand-to-hand self-defense.
