For 23 years, Heaven Hill Farm has opened its verdant doors to 100 acres of scenic countryside for their annual Pumpkin Land Festival. Nestled among the Appalachian Mountains, the fall sanctuary honors the season with hayrides, the Pigtucky Derby pig races, and pumpkin patches where jack-o'-lanterns-to-be can roam freely in their natural habitat. With a bevy of activities to choose from, fall fanatics can race through the hay maze, pet furry friends at the animal farm, and buy, nibble, or juggle fresh apple-cider donuts. During the weekend, guests can also have their faces painted with fall images, take jaunts atop a pony, or hop onto a carnival ride.
New Jersey's municipal police officers, county corrections officers, state rangers, and other law enforcement members all start their careers in the same place: the entry-level exam. A single answer on this test could mean the difference between two candidates for the same position. It's a written obstacle course, with 10 sections that cover everything from deductive reasoning to personality traits. Luckily, it's a challenge that Top Brass Learning Centers' instructors have all met first hand. In fact, the faculty consists of police supervisors that have all scored high on their own exams. During classroom sessions, these experts cover all aspects of the written test, incorporating practice exams and training materials. They spend hours working with future officers until they can leave confident and ready to begin a life of civic service.
The instructors also help current officers advance their careers. Promotional level classes prep these continuing students for the oral, written, and telepathic portions of lieutenant and captain exams. The classes are designed for working police men and women, and instructors post online versions of each lesson to accommodate students who cannot attend in-person.
Sarah and Krista, the lead trainers at Elite Equine Group, help students develop confident horseback-riding skills during lessons and nurture comfortable relationships between humans and horses. The teaching duo takes into account each rider’s variables⎯including experience, age, abilities, and hat gallon number⎯as they teach students within the two indoor rings or one outdoor arena.
With a focus on safety, the instructors typically start young riders out in 30-minute lessons, while older students partaking in hour-long lessons that teach grooming, tacking, and groundwork.
With their exotic look and beverages, tiki bars evoke faraway tropical paradises. Constructed from authentic bamboo and thatch, the rental tiki bars from Tiki Photo 2 Go bring that sense of bliss to events throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut. Members of Tiki Photo 2 Go’s bartending team—many of whom draw on more than 10 years of experience—craft tropical drinks as guests lounge around the bar donning hats and leis upon request.
More props such as boas, masks, and oversized sunglasses await visitors at one of Tiki Photo 2 Go’s photo booths. The company’s 5'x5' and 10'x10' booths accommodate up to 8 and 20 guests, respectively, who strike poses for a series of four shots displayed on a monitor inside the booth. A high-speed printer dispenses unlimited pairs of sepia, black-and-white, or color prints within seconds—one for guests to include in their scrapbook and one to stuff in a stranger's. The strips can be customized with a personalized logo, message, or colors that match the colors and theme of your event.
Joker Photobooths' attendants haul their booths to pump up the festivities at weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, and graduation parties across the east coast. Each booth is outfitted with a camera that snaps high-resolution images (more than 10 megapixels) as subjects strike poses. Logos and captions add a personalized touch to photos, which are assembled as classic 2 x 6 inch photo strips. The booth can be customized to suit various color schemes, welcoming up to four guests at a time to pose before one of 11 backgrounds. During each event, Joker Photobooths' staff will assemble photo albums that contain a copy of every photo taken at the event.
